VIP Members - Invocation Item and Scroll of Identification Overload

bkthomsonbkthomson Member Posts: 217 Arc User
Question for current VIP Members are you running into the problem of having more Invocation Items and Scrolls of Identification from your VIP Membership?

Yeah, I have a couple rows worth and since I cannot sell the Scrolls or Pass them on to someone else it seems like a waste, after the cost of VIP, to just discard them. And you can only identify so many a day where it becomes a chore and not, well, rewarding.

Granted I'm only running one characters but it is starting to become more of a hindrance to keep on collecting the times, and once again, I've paid of them so I would like to get some value out of them besides discard.

So I just through to ask how people are doing with those items from VIP Rewards.

on my alts that are there for profession tasks they are a hindrance. on my main characters they are getting used up. I actually totally ran out of both on one of my toons (Granted I'd given away 100 of the ones that were donatable not realizing I was within a few of being out with the vip id scrolls)

If you are playing the Characters the Invocation powers should be in your potion tray and being used in Combat I always run through those as it makes life easier you can have 4-5 active at one time so I just burn 4 at a time :)

On the scrolls if you are collecting stuff for the Mimic in the guild and donate all the garbage you usually run through they will get used in large part.
If not you end up with Shedloads lol
Green Garbage means guild marks guild marks mean gear so the more you use the Scrolls the more you get :)
If you are just using a toon for Professions and Ad then just discard what you dont need :)

ah, well depends on if you're ever going to get bored and level it up more. I just levelled one of my profession alts to 70 got it there today. I had a haste dc that was NEARRRRRLLLY there from just getting the daily invocations. now to learn how to haste. LOL. now I'll probably be glad of saving all the vip stuff.

The invocation items I am keeping and sometimes use 4 just before a tough boss fight, the rest I keep in storage for a rainy day. The scrolls though after I had 2 rows of them in my bank I just started deleting them, you get so many they are just not worth keeping.

Greens are not worth using them on and there are very few blues in the game any more which require them.

Greens are the only thing worth using them on as you just said blues are so rare. And yes a pain but ID'ing 30 greens (3k-4k RP with tiny critical hits) at a time and dumping them into your Artifact Equipment is cheap RP and adds up. I use about a stack of 99 scrolls if not more a day on greens. I have a profound stack of keys built up now for dungeons which is nice on a rainy day.

Once your Artefact equipment hits high levels it becomes pointless to put 100 points or 200 points into them any more. For instance at level 56 an Artefact belt takes 200,000 Refinement points. I just save all my runes for a double RP event and just do that, maybe buy the odd Blood Ruby etc.

But if you have the time to pick up and identify all those greens then cool :)

That is you opinion. In just a few hours I added 10,000 Rp into my MH, a black opal by depositing green junk. I just so happen to be at 220k Lv 59 on my MH and any extra helps saving up RP.

    Yeah that's cool dude :)

I probably would pick up more greens if I am honest if I had the spare inventory space.

  • Perhaps when you're below level 70 there doesn't seem to be a lot of use for ID scrolls, but things change. Eventually you'll be feeding your artifact gear with the gear you drop, and all the gear you drop when in level appropriate zones will be a constistent stream of perfect Lv70 artifact food that will all need to be ID'd.

Trust me, you will learn to appreciate those ID scrolls and will be far from running surplus. Artifact gear has an insatiable hunger for the junky Lv70 uncommons you sweep off the floor.

Just take a fraction of second to delete a stack. Seriously, this is a non-issue.

I quite enjoy having ID scrolls on the toons I actively play, for I loot all and ID all. All greens and most blues get fed to my artifacts or mimics. On my toons I am not actively playing at the time, when their stack gets to 99, I delete it. Simple really and takes less than a second. Please do not reduce the frequency of ID scrolls for the sake of "inventory space" that can be easily managed in a fraction of a second by a player who doesn't want them. Thanks.

lol, no-one is arguing for a reduced frequency of them, just people discussing what they do with them :)

Personally I just don't bother picking up greens it takes too long to pick loads up, identify them and donate them or refine them etc. In dungeons it can get annoying people picking up every green in sight (but I never complain about that as people can do what they want) etc. I just find my time better spent doing dungeon/skirmish/daily runs and donating/refining things that way :)

Actually, it was more of a reply and partial concurrence to the following second post and the responding sentiment of ID scrolls being some sort of burden.

Also, the subject title similarly suggests some sort of burden with ID Scrolls, "VIP Members - Invocation Item and Scroll of Identification Overload." As well, these thoughts were still fresh in my mind from a similar subject titled thread, VIP prizes change - no more scrolls please!.

I like my scrolls and ID all greens I get from soloing. I don't pick them up in dungeons as I know it's annoying for most people.

All I was asking is do you get a lot of them and what do you do with them if they are taking up space.

I discard all from vip. I sell the other stacks of 99 on ah.
  • destrowoddestrowod Member Posts: 484 Arc User
I use all the ones i get on my main to identify lev 70 greens and blues to put into artifacts weapon/shield

On secondary they do stack up as i was not using it too much, but i had a stack of around 400, used 200 or so yesterday to identify lev 65-66 to put into guild chest, it helped...

Problem is, they give you item of your level, i wish scrolls would be just account bound, not character, so i would transfer them all to the main, as i don't have artifact weapon on my secondary but well... in due time it will be usefull anyway
