Where's my bag?

ravanairavanai Member Posts: 8 Arc User
So I am coming back to the game after over a year and I have characters created back in the begining of the game at various levels. One in particular is a lvl 27 Control Wizard with no extra bag in the inventory. I read in another post that the Blacklake quests give the extra bag; however, I have completed all of those quests and have the whole map highlighted as discovered. I know they changed where some of the NPCs are in Blacklake and took out a lot of the quests I remember doing there. I am at the Spellburst quest in the story line and have completed most of the Tower District. Should I just scrap her and create a new wizard? She has lvl 3 Tailoring and lvl 11 Leadership with some nice blue gear. And then there's the Caturday Cape that is character bound! :`( Is there a way to get that bag since I apparently didn't get it the first time around? All my other old toons have that bag as well. I can't remember if it glitched at the time and I just didn't get it from the quest I was supposed to get it on. Any ideas?

You need to go back to Blacklake and talk to NPC including those who do not have diamond on top of their head. Just talk to everyone in the camp fire area.

I just went back to Blacklake and talked to every NPC at every campsite. Hawthorne in the begining of the map did have something for me that sent me to Zoey. I spoke to her, got a "reward" of nothing and the quest line did not continue after that. The only other thing was a quest for doing the Blacklake Skirmish where you have to queue for a party. I remember that instance being very buggy in the begining of the game so I probably avoided it on this character. I have since played a new character and that quest doen't even factor into getting the 18 slot bag.

If I remember correctly, the bag line goes through Zoey. After the first quest with Zoey, there should be another quest with Zoey. Did you talk to her again after the first quest (although there may be no diamond above her head)? The Skirmish has nothing to do with the bag.

Yes, thank you for your help. I did talk with her several times after that with nothing but the option to tell her to stay safe. It's like I accepted this quest line that you linked and it just disappeared from my quest log journal. I have filed a bug report at this point. I will keep trying. I did notice some bugs with my other newer characters where I had to repeat quest lines that did not update, but there was something in my journal atleast where I could abandon the quest and get it back again. There is nothing for Blacklake in my wizard's quest journal except the skirmish tho.

    Go here: http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/List_of_quests#Blacklake_District

You will need to do each of those quests, in order, up to and including Close to the Crown. If you're over-level for them, the exclamation marks won't appear. You'll need to hunt down the quest giver NPCs and speak with them to see their quests.

Your next bag will then come from doing the quest line here: http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/List_of_quests#Neverdeath_Graveyard

Notice the quests listed there suffixed with a [3], you'll need to do these in order and ending with Clockwork Guild Tomb quest to get the second free quest given bag.

See my post a couple back please. I went to EVERY npc in blacklake and NONE of them have quests. I talked to all of them and exhausted all of their dialogs. I did get the Hot on the Trail quest from Private Hawthidon and I went to talk to Zoey. I heard the sound for the reward when I spoke to her but I received NO xp or money. Then she has nothing more to say to me. Her only two options of dialog are "Karzov leads the Nashers?" and "Stay safe Zoey". I cannot go to the door next to Zoey and start the mission like you would normally do because the glowy stuff isn't on the door and going to it and pressing F does nothing. I know I already completed all of this district before the patch that changed the quests because the WHOLE map is highlighted as discovered. I mean every nook and cranny is unlocked. This quest is just non-existent for me now. Could I get another player to "share" it with me at this point? I know, this is Arc's way of making me buy Zen to get a bag!

Oh, and also, just to be sure, I have repeated this step many times in case the NPCs just bugged out. There are NO quest dialogs or instance entrances available in Blacklake for me.

Also, Hot on the Trail, Close to the Crown and Nashing of Teeth show as completed in my quest journal.

Then since you've completed Close to the Crown, perhaps you're mistaking where you put your bag? Did you bank it, or perhaps like me on my main, delete it for space since had having plenty of larger bound bags? There is no way to get the bag now once you've completed it. I do not think the quest is shareable with a character that has completed it. I don't like the insinuation of it being "the game trying to get you," that's just silly. From all you said, it seems more likely you just misplaced for forgot what you did with the bag.

Make sure it didnt auto-equip either. If you have open bag slots, it will automatically put it in there.

If I remember right, the bag comes from a chest at the end of one of the instances. I don't think it is possible to leave the instance without accepting the rewards.

I guess it is possible I could have sold it or deleted it although that seems unlikely. She was my first character I created. An I definitely do not have other bags or this would not be so important to me. I am trying to playing the game for free like it is advertised. I do not have extra income to throw at a game. For me real life is more important. This is definitely not something that is worth getting worried about. And yes, gaming companies do things to make people want to buy things in their games. Programmers like to eat too. That was said as a joke mainly..... sarcasm doesn't translate. There are ways you can leave an instance without getting the chest. It has happened to me and my friend the past two days on our new characters. The quests are really buggy and we have been booted several times from instances and had to redo them. I even had a quest on a map area not count and had to redo the whole thing again - the wagons in the blackbeard area. The game seems a lot more buggy since a year ago. And all of those extra side quests they removed from the map - I miss those. Some of them were neat. Like the dwarf way in the back of the tower district looking for some special armor. Anyway, maybe I can spen some Xmas money on a bag for this char..... hehe
