GWF and SW are way too strong in pve. I'm a fully geared HR trapper and in mod 6 and 7 thus far any one of those classes can beat me reguardless of gear by 10 to 20 mil if they know there rotation that's not balanced at all and that's unbuffed. There's only been two HRs ever come close to me in damage since the beginning of this game so it's not my skill level. I'm the Emerald Artbiter...

I don't need a lecture on my class. I'm a pathfinder Iv invested a lot of time in this game Iv been here since the beginning I also resreach a lot I'm not some scrub. By buffs I mean like food, pots, and glyphs.

I don't see your point your there SW and GWF move really fast. Besides why do we need to dodge if the basic dungeon setup is a bubble pally and a haste cleric? Lets not forget about armor class too and how the soul puppet can literally tank.lol

You have a good point there. The fact is though a skilled and geared HR shouldnt be losing to skilled descently geared GWFs or SWs. By definition of geared I mean legendary, epic, and mythic everything vs epic and legendary with a descent augmentation companion.

That is true. It's just upsetting to smash out the numbers I do after all the time and money Iv invested into my HR and be out damaged by someone in that kind of gear just because there class was made better. The only thing that a high dps HR should bring to the table is Aspect of Pack buffs me and one ally, and foxes cunning (one free dodge soak for everyone.)

Those are really the only utility we have that's viable. Other then that our add control which is not necessary at all when mobs die super fast running with those classes.

If you want to see DPS watch a GF and OP... and well just....yeah no other class can touch my reflect DPS lol. I have a epic ToTs run with one boss wipe with 400 million damage...

I get what you're saying man, but every class has their purpose. As a GWF when I roll with my boys HR, he traps them while I hammer the snot out of them. We don't worry about who's on the top of the scoreboard. All about team.

Absolutely HR is control primary damage secondary. I do the same for the GWF and SW in dungeons for guild runs. If I am on top of the PG leaderboard it means a slow run as roots do not kill as fast as they can.

As an HR, I can and do out DPS most GWF and SW in each dungeon. The only ones that do out DPS me are ones with far greater stats. I'm only at 2.9IL, the last GWF to out DPS me was around 3.8IL.

I'm at a loss to understand why you'd think that with an equally specced HR and GWF, the HR should do more damage? The GWF ONLY does face to face damage, it's what they're all about - they can't dodge, hide or trap so as a non-GWF player it seems fair to me they out dps someone who can.

Same for an SW, they cannot dodge and they have weak armor - if they can't bring heavy dps then they become a totally redundant class.

HR's like CW's, control mobs - immobilise/stun, plus damage - this extra control effect is counterbalanced by a lesser dps than their pure damage team mates.

I'm not saying we should be higher dmg never said that. What I'm saying is shouldnt be blown out of the water like that. I agree your a pure dps class both are, but I feel that it should be a bit closer in terms of simliar gear and skill. Also, you guys do have a dodge you move extremely fast out AoE type attacks thats majority of anything that you need to avoid so don't give me the you have dodge speach. HRs also hand that to you at the cost of using something else. Your welcome.

A well geared HR can out DPS, not saying you are not well geared, an equally well geared GWF/SW. I get the point that as HR's we control and daze yadda yadda. But, we also damage multiple enemies at once. So by the time the GWF gets done with one single enemy, we already kill 3-5 or what ever the case is. At least that has been my experience. The only time the GWF/SW creep closer to beating my DPS is when it comes to one single enemy/boss, because they have an advantage going against one enemy. But, that's just my personal experience.

This apparent GF/OP combo does not deal nearly as much damage as you have let on. I ran Malabog with this "combo" and I still out DPSd them both by over 10mil. Maybe they were bad, I mean they were both about 2.8IL and were in a reputable guild. But I don't think that combo is as good as you think it is. IMO

One thing we can actually agree on....the people who push enemies away are the bane of sufficient DPS. Especially for HR's, since a good portion of our best powers are Rooting powers, I want the enemies to be all close together to root ALL of them lol

A well geared and skilled GWF or SW will beat a HR of same equal gear and skill. I'm telling Iv went all out with these guys. Regardless of AoE we loose you just haven't meant a really skilled GWF or SW.

I'm just curious, what are you putting out damage wise in a ETOS run, (killing the end boss on your first try)?

Depends on who I'm running with. Usually 90-120k. Wolf Den just on the last boss no wiping no death and no pots 120 mil np.

^^^^^^ This, its a team game now no place for the butthurt or epeens, the leaderboards only function for me on any of my toons is to assess my performance following changes to setups
