Divine Cleric, Gift of Haste not acting as expected

Greetings,
my guild and i was chatting comparing builds and it was discovered that for 10 seconds after you use a daily, you are unable to recive Gift of haste from your HoT's or and other AP DC's that are trying to boost your AP, after 10 seconds you are able to recive AP from GoH no problem
Other feats/boons are unaffected. just this 10 seconds no gaining of AP from a AP-DC its a little odd :confused:

    yes i get its bad english, i did not proof read before i posted, bascilly
    after you use a daily your GoH doesn't affect the caster, for 10seconds
    divinity power still builds

    It's not a side-effect of a DC being unable to gain AP while Hallowed Ground/Divine Armor are in effect?

    Certain DC dailies (like Hallowed Ground), don't allow you to gain AP whilst they are in effect. This has always been the case since the game began - once you cast Hallowed Ground, you wouldn't gain AP from normal sources (or Gift of Haste).

    Some DC dailies however do allow you to regain AP as soon as they are cast.

    The Flail Snail AP gain is one way to start regenerating AP when HG and the like are cast - this kicks in straight away even after casting HG.

    Pretty sure the devs in the past have said this is WAI, so its one of those things that you need to accommodate into your play style.

    Not strictly. It was a later balance change, as has been done to many daily powers with a duration (Lurker's Assault for TR, Tyrannical Threat for SW, I think it was Supremacy of Steel on the GF). All of these have been changed to prevent sufficient AP gain from allowing near-constant uptime.

    Good pick up - I do remember peeps talking about it not being the same during the earlier mods. However, it has been like this since Feb this year. Main take away is that this is working as intended.

    I remember when it wasnt.. and I also remember the power of hg when it had the moonstone feat.. and lovely astral sheild as well.. ah the days.. the days! Many a throne of idiris run did I save with that feated HG.. you ran like a headless chicken with your 7.2k gear score .. then bam , enough ap returned.. HG come up and the heavens rejoiced.

    Well, there were downsides I guess.. like arp never worked on dc skills until, what mod 3 ? So all of our dots were screwy. But we also had FF and its melee heal...

    Oh .. I wish we could get some of our old skills back.. poor dc.
