Beholder Piñata

underhand001underhand001 Member Posts: 33 Arc User
Hello Neverwinter,

Just a heads up, you have made the Beholder Piñata level 60 and anyone lower then lets say 55 cant open them without help from someone around level 60. Then you have the little thieves that hand around while someone opens their Piñata and tries to steal all the stuff that falls on the ground. You really should have looked to make it that any level could open them and get the stuff out of them, Then I would have had it so that anything that came out of them could only be picked up by the toon that summoned the Piñata.

Better luck next year.

Pinatas are meant to be for the public, a bonus for folks to share and celebrate, not something to hoard for oneself. However, you are free to go your guild's Stronghold and be scaled up to 60 and open it there, away from the general public or take them to a private instance in a Foundry, Quest, or somewhere else you like.

That sounds nice to bring the public together, yet the public is not the ones that are running around. And I have seen more then one person get mad cause they opened their Piñata and someone else stole all them items. Yes you can go to your Stronghold that is if you belong to a guild... If you want to have something that brings the public together then have everyone show up at a special place and they show up lets say every hour and stand around while Piñata explode and drop stuff for everyone to run around and pick up stuff.

    Just a thought

If you are really that worried about it, and don't want to share or join a guild, just find an empty RP foundry map to go bash your pinata on. I think some people even make some specifically for that cause.

How does making it level 60 encourage that? They'd have to make them like level 77 or something.

There are many places in PE in which there are nobody around 99% of the time. Go there. e.g. the building that sells companion, the building that sell PVP gear, the bar, etc.

go to ebon down's seed dungeon, that is daily quest and you can do solo, so, no one else will get it, save up til 60+ if you are not in guild.

    1) Wouldn't this be a lot of effort to set up for something like a pinata smashing?
    2) You don't have to go far to find a small corner of the map to open you pinata and grab stuff. The game isn't filled with freeloading vultures waiting to swoop in on pinata drops
    3) Are the pinata drops worth getting upset over?

Yes, good to think a bit before flying off into nerd rage

I have met someone who did not attack pinata, they just go over all the drops on the ground with their mounts when I was attacking it. I have no problem to share pinata with someone who like to attack it with me and get the drops. But not somebody just want to steal. Something small could make you upset like someone jumping in the queue.

I do feel sorry for the lower level char because it takes them forever to destroy the pinata and when it is done "his stuff" are all gone.
There was a HR shooting arrow to the pinata and its HP bar does not move at all. I just went there to strike the pinata for him. No, I did not pick up anything.

    B. umm there is a billion and half areas with no one around you.. why not just go there.. how is this a issue?

Beating up on poor, defenseless pinatas is definitely a good way to vent a little frustration when playing NWO :-)

Well its not.. if you technically account every game metre you could go hide in.. in fact you could open these at the end of dd runs after party is left and have your own private instance, as many foundry areas as well.

So.. well umm its not too much of a exaggeration.

I simply do not understand complaints of these nature. There is many items that are valid to discuss, this isnt one.. they are still fun to see though =)

I did that when I entered the mini-dungeon such as Dread Ring's. I did that again when I finished the dungeon (2 minutes cooldown passed).
If you are not high level enough, go to the Artifact shop and go to 2nd floor. Pretty sure, nobody would be there. :)
Afraid of stairs because you have an "senior" character, go to Companion house and go all the way inside.

Eh. I understand the low level complaints about them.

There was one time I was checking one of my alts that I left in Neverdeath and there were 10+ level 30-40s all beating up on a pinata and the thing was tanking better than most bosses.

Typing "Silverkelt, don't exaggerate!" takes me like 5 seconds. Let's assume a fast typist can do so faster. Or even include copy-paste, which would then take half a sec.

0.5 x 10^12 seconds are 8.33 billion minutes, or 138.9 million hours, 5.78 million days, 827 thousand weeks, 193 thousand months, 15,855 years,...

...or, that sentence being 29 chars long, plus the "Return"-key in the end = 30 x 10^12 => 30 TB of data.

    :^D

Oh no.. I actually did get it was a joke =P..

I was being sarcastic.. but ever since they removed the quick color links for fonts.. Im to lazy to find the html coding for it.

The limitations of text only conversations strike again :)

...now lets get back to beating up pinatas again. I'm sure I still have a few left over from the Summer Festival somewhere in my inventory :)

I made the mistake of using one in Neverdeath over by the dragon. So, it was 60 but all players were leveled down to 30. Indestructible Pinata! It might still be there. LOL.

If you are CW, you can cast Oppressive Force.

    Yes, this is a joke.
