Just testing if others are also having this issue. I heard some peple taling about it in foundry zone chat. I tried to select some music for a map and the whole client crashed.
Could others please test it too and see if it happens consistently?
If it does, we have a nice new bug, once again, and this time it means our maps won't be able to have music or sound effects... nice.

It looks like it crashes when another sound is selected from the list, while the 1st selected is still playing. But did not bother testing it further, too long loading times for a quick crash ).edit: Well no, it just crashes on a second sound selection in the list. Making the pick at the 1st try could work hah.edit 2: So no, even accepting (OK) or canceling (Cancel) the selection makes the client crash. Simply put, any subsequent interaction with the "sound selection dialogue box" crashes the client.
I begin to think they do it in purpose, to screw us, plain and simple.
There is no other logical explanation.

the video + audio changes are linked .. same time that everyone started crashing and had to add -d9d0 or whatever to the command line just to get to char select screen, my audio started acting funny ingame. (audio would cut out when I alt-tab in and out of game, even if the audio source was winamp/itunes/etc) .. getting audio and video over hdmi.
soo some changes to the sound drivers, or at least how my ATI drivers interpret them.. and then within the foundry, the sound picker crashes anytime it tries to play a sample sound.

Foundry Editor Crashing

Since the recent update of the Neverwinter Foundry Editor, all the authors I have spoken to including myself are reporting that adding sound to any quest causes the client to crash. Anytime the sound/music selection, any action taken on it (pressing ok, or cancel, or select another sound/music) will crash the whole client. I tried a lot of different ways too. Both 2D and 3D editor modes, I tried adding it from the room sub menu even. All methods crash the game client.

We are still waiting, when will this issue be repaired?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. My apologies in the delay in responding to you. I'm personally trying to look into this issue, and when I have enough information about it I'll take what I have to the Cryptic developers to have them fix it. If there's any more specific info you can think of that would help us please send it my way.

Hello,
Thank you for your patience. It appears that engineering has finished their work on the foundry, so whenever you can would you please give it a shot? If you are still having troubles please let me know, with any specific details about what you were attempting to create at the time.

Sorry Tek, the Foundry is still crashing when you add audio or music to any map. I don't have any error messages since it just quits and drops back to Windows. All you have to do is drag and drop an audio icon to any map. Then select any sound or music. Once you click OK or Cancel, it kicks you out fast. I see desktop and there is no delay what-so-ever.
This bug is killing us, and not helping those willing to create quality content.
Thanks, but it looks like you need to report this once again.

Hello,
Will do. I know they were working on the Foundry all this last week because there were some reported publishing errors, and I made sure that they were looking into the audio issue as well. I'll poke them again and see what they can do, and as soon as I hear back from them I will let you know.

After this they closed the ticket, it is not SOLVED, this issue persists, and they just don't care. I DARE any developer to prove me wrong! Instead of proving me wrong and fixing this issue, I believe a forum moderator will delete this posting. But I am posting this on the Facebook group as a back up.
