Who agrees with that? They should really add a twerking emote right?

I would pay 1m AD for it.

It's Dungeons and Dragons, not Second Life. LOL. I don't think it would be appropriate for the setting.

I would opt out for a "puking" emote
-and how about "Im gassy" emote!!!
-and maybe a "oooh, you stink" emote to go with it!

most games have similar ones to that already.. Twerking is a little more sexual, so there is a difference.

Though lotro, at least had a pipe smoking one, which actually fit.

Lotro actually has a disclaimer attached to their game denoting the use of drugs and alcohol, so they have their bases covered, as well as it fitting in the lore of the game world.

Twerking in Neverwinter? Please no, never. I find that "move" to be the most absurd and idiotic looking thing I have seen people perform in decades. Besides, as stated above, it is a sexual innuendo that really has no place or basis in the game.

Heckkkkkk no.. Dont you think we dont know what you want this for either.. keep your digital sex to your private channels.

Haha. It is no worse than the dance emote or blowing kisses emote. And, ya, since when did air guitar and zombie dance exist in the fantasy realm, or the medieval times for that matter?
Zombie emote fits the game world for their are zombies. Air Guitar fits the game world for their are guitars and other musical instruments. Neither of which are sexually pervasive in nature.

lol. They did not ban the Astral Resonator exploiters, but they are gonna ban somebody for that. Wow.
Let's not go to the extreme with analogies simply because some folks have differing opinions. Goodness.

twerk emote? sure and while we're at it we can add a miley cyrus NPC that just sticks her tongue out like the mentally challenged nut job she is whenever you try to talk to her.

Seriously, with all the problems the players are facing in this game at the moment, you wanna ask the devs to waste time making something pointless as a twerk emote?

Besides, they'll only have to remove it later once the bots start using it too much.

Each generation has own culture, twerk is part of modern culture, and denying tweak doesn't belong here is like saying that game is played by 40-60 only (which is false).

It would not surprise me if this suddenly became a priority for the development. To Hades with the bug fixes and balance issues let us devote our full resources to this.

What does your real life generational culture have to do with the content in a game set in a medieval fantasy realm?

I mean should we add ipods, iphones, ipads too? Should the NPCs speak in auto tune?

The simple answer is no as it has absolutely nothing to do with dungeon & dragons lore.

Twerk isn't part of modern culture, it's a move invented by stupid people for stupid people. It's a (bad) joke.

To express it more precisely, it is teenager culture. People were saying exactly same things about rap and hip-hop in early-mid 80 of past century. Now these ones are recognized and commercially successful genres. Each new cultural phenomena struggles with acceptation. Ever heard about Twerking 'Winnie-The-Pooh' school performance ? That issue had nationalwide attention in Russia.

No, we should not add iphones etc.

Emote stances are not about to make medieval game more medieval. The OP discussion point about adding extra emote stance. There are cases of rock guitar, moonwalk dance, disco in other medieval games. Designers took into account that during social events people forget about whole lore and like to do funny things. Being in other games i witnessed how often many people go drunk stance, go naked mode themselves and even dancing striptease in open world. In same time these people were amazing customers (based on their gear or cosmetics), bringing real life money to game publishers.

If we're going to have a dance emote that really fits the game how about /grind?
edit no this is not a serious suggestion, and emotes are there for fun and roleplaying, personally I wouldn't use a twerk or grind emote, but then I'm older than that and a metalhead, so yeah when I'm feeling preposterous the air guitar emote gets broken out.

Fair enough, if every time you use it you have to pay 1000 AD to everyone within viewing range.

This has nothing to do with how much a culture embraces something. It has everything to do with whether belongs in this game or not. And the simple answer is, NO, it does not belong in this game.

Again, you're citing other things that have nothing to do with this game. If other medieval games want to add pop culture references that's their choice as it is their game. The closest this game has come in fact is the lone air guitar emote. Which as zebular pointed out it does kind of fit since there are guitars in this game, I will admit I doubt any lute players where throwing devil horns or head banging while playing back in real medieval times but again, this is their game and if they decide lute players can head bang who am I to argue.

I Personally would rather see the game keep to its lore then add items that just don't fit. Sure, better fashions would be awesome but running around looking like you're from the matrix really ruins the feel of the game. And as I mentioned before, with all the HAMSTER that needs to be fixed in this game, I'd rather not see that devs wasting their time on any new emotes let alone something like twerking.

Barring the fact that there are no guns in the D&D universe. I cannot say that you should be shot just for suggesting it.

    However....
You should be stabbed in the back, beaten by holy avenger clubs, cursed by Scourge Warlocks, hit in the face with frozen iceballs from Control Wizards (How is hitting someone in the face with a iceball control?!) Knocked down and slammed with a two handed sword, and bashed in the face with a heater shield.

    In all seriousness..... No, just....no

There are some definite signs that the development of a civilisation has reached its tipping point. I think two of these signs are selfies and twerking.
