Speculation On New Armor in Underdark

Well Forums, what do you think? Will Cryptic bring out new armor for Underdark, thus sending the current Dragonflight sets to the Salvage Heap? I would really hate to Black Ice upgrade my armor only to have it become second class in the not to distant future. Not to mention I have to upgrade my Forge to even do the armor.

    One of the devs said that Dragonflight/Lionsmane sets would remain BiS for Mod 8 so expect new gear to be introduced in Underdark :p

    Focus on upgrading your forge, and then wait and see. Either way, you can't empower without the forge.

    Maybe the Underdark gear can't survive on the surface world like it was with Baldur's Gate. :/

    I wouldn't even call DF BiS now.

    The devs months ago said that they WILL introduce new gear on the expansion, but that gear it was going to be of a similar IL than SH gear, so you will have more options instead of having to replace everything again. Now believe them or not its totally up to you, because thats the same they said on each module and I think people already know the story.

    hopefully there is new gear, since SH content is meant only for large guilds

    I expect that new SW gear will get no Life Steal stat, as is the trend.

    As pure stats those armors are bis, but some classes the stats they give you , are meaningless to that class... So hence, they are not really BiS for certain ones (or at best a mix /match approach. )

    Im on xbox, as a tank im stuck with BiS gear the is a mix of elemtal alliance and ward. Pity they give 1 stat set per rank of gear this mod. Mainly cause they arent good at picking stats lol

    Come on, artifact armor sets, I can't believe Cryptic hasn't baked them yet, what are they scared of? =D

    Don't give em ideas ffs, I'm already having trouble with inventory slots as it is, the last thing I need is another set to carry around when I go to the underdark. They already went this (failed) route with the Black Ice Gear, I wouldn't put it past them to commit the same mistake again. :P

    You might be referring to me, when I said this:

    We made sure our drow crafters were supplied with plenty of darkoil to prevent such an unfortunate fate from befalling your hard-earned equipment.

    I'm glad to see that we won't have to farm a stupid resource as black ice for the black ice sets to maintain the new stuff relevenat.

    That's pretty cool and sad at the same time that the new set will be near as good as dragonflight, because most of classes are unhappy with the stats on dragonflight ( no real dps wants a 1400 recovery armor when he can have a 1300 crit armor ). I got 2 pieces of dragonflight because of this, not because i can't buy them, but because they have way too much recovery. I hope we will be able to do some real mixing between sets, because actually there's only one combination of armors for each class that's worthy, and this makes everybody a clone of each other.

    I will wait for the promise dev blog about new armors, that's one of the two post that I'm really waiting for ( the other is the one about master craft).

    As it will take long enough just to get my Dragonflight set (and my guild is apparently small but growing as we close in on SH rank 7...) I'm pleased to hear there will be a set that is comparable that can be earnt via other means.

    Looking forward to seeing more.

    I'm glad I didn't have to dig up that quote so thanks for the confirmation Asterdahl. As I will likely never get either Dragonflight or Lionsmane sets I am glad I will have another option to upgrade my T2 gear in Mod 8. Thank you.

    @asterdahl sorry to poke you but since its pretty clear we are going to change gears more often than not are there plans to reduce costs for reinforcement kits and trasmutation?
    in alternative at least make them unslottable like everything else. Thanks for your answer if you are going to

    One more artifact piece of junk and Ill state im done.. what a hogus, bogus, piece of HAMSTER thats been from the start. What a waste of everyones time and playing resources.
