Economy is dead, Jim

No one is wanting to buy, everyone is selling too high. Feeling desperate, players not only pay more money now to the AD sellers, but more people are being nudged to buy AD.

You killed it, good job. I've never seen a team top this.

I hope Cryptic changes the fixed prices of SH, companions, boons, transmutations, off-hand feats, ... soon - specially the AD sinks in SH have to be addressed by Cryptic - this is the responsibility of the producer. And I'm very disappointed they don't act (reading the last patch notes), because smaller/medium guilds stop farming SH without a perspective (armor, boons).

BUT many prices in AH are set by players (and AD sellers) and Cryptic is not responsible for the greed of these players. Many AH sellers have difficulties to adapt to the new spending powers.

After the leadership change my income went down from 50k to 10k per day => now I have to wait patiently for a price drop in AH of about 75%, before I spend my ADs on optional, expensive items- for example "ring of avenger" was 650k before leadership change and now I'm waiting until price drops at least below 200k before buying. Many adult casual playing PVE players like me are patient and hate to be ripped off (I personally hate being ripped off more than paying high prices).

Yep. It's a brave new world, and sellers have to adjust to the new reality.

Certain big ticket item in AH I was watching dropped to 1/3 of the price before the leadership nerf.

The AH is one part of the economy, but it's not THE economy.

    lol..

Im anti bot.. but even I know that the WHOLE system is dependent on them to actually progress..

I cant at all trust them to remove rp and make the grind less. I will not play this game if it takes 3 years to progress something.

YOU WANT to fight bots, make a system that a normal player can play through and progress.. without the need for them.

Do you think they will do that ? Do you have trust in them to do it right?

    This.
Refinement requirements vs possible drops are completely out of whack in this game. Worse then I've ever seen.

Economy is perfectly balanced now. You have to thank developers for the good job done.

Sure. Perhaps this was not my game after all.

Especially resonance stones. Hardest thing in the world to come across. Rare gold. They are very protective of the levelling of Artifact Equipment for some reason.

Well things are now accessible by everyone. So, imho, it is fixed in this sense. About the bots I don't care... it's a Cryptic internal problem. What I care is about inflation.

You must have a big pile of AD sitting somewhere. I don't feel things are more accessible at all. I still haven't gotten my income to pre-nerf levels. I have 2 characters total.

Cryptic fixed the economy in the same way that Anakin brought balance to the force. :p

The AH is one part of the economy, but it's not THE economy.

It's an indicator of the economy , same as a gallon of milk.

Time is quickly running out for this game. We have new MMO's starting up all the time. And people will go where the entertainment and enjoyment is.

Do you find this game entertaining and enjoyable? I sure dont. It's a chore, it's a second job. I dont need either one in my life at this moment. The people in charge do not seem to understand that.

So far the only thing that has kept me invested is time served and friends. The time served is constantly made less and less important with every decision that Cryptic makes. And most of my friends are already talking about jumping ship when BDO goes live. So....yeah.

As I've said in other posts. Make a toon with epic gear and rank 8's and 9's and go run Thayan Magical Shelter in Well of Dragons and tell me how great of a game this is.

Guys the explanation for the deflation in prices in AH is pretty simple:

AD cap ==>> total inflow of AD into the game decreases, which creates two effects:

1st ) less people with enough AD to buy stuff ==>> prices go down on AH
2nd ) more people buying ZEN and exchanging (more inflow of AD) ==>> selling price of ZEN decreases

Right now the 1st effect surpasses the 2nd and it was aggravated by the change in the Potency marks.

For players this means that buying stuff with real money is more expensive and buying stuff in the game takes a long time due to RAD cap.

To NW this means that more money will enter the game because of players' impatience to get the AD they need.

They were pretty clear about this in the economy post, I paraphrase, "if you don't have enough time to play (i.e. if you have a life) then the only way to get stuff is paying for it".

Sorry Lancer, it may sound reasonable to you to bind everything what bots can farm but as soon as you shut down the RP market they created, no new player will be able to upgrade his artifacts (equip and regular ones) anymore.

You know how much RP a mythic artifacts needs?

The costs must be lowered IN THE SAME PATCH drastically ... in which you bind to char/account everything bots can farm.

They couched it more eloquently, in such a way they could deny having said that, but that is what I read as well.

This is what I have been saying all along. Remove the need for bots... and they will disappear.

The AH is one part of the economy, but it's not THE economy.

... No, no, it's the economy. I mean, it's the PLAYER economy anyway. I don't think you can really call fixed cost goods an economy.

That being said, I resoundly reject the notion that the economy is dead. I'm still able to sell the majority of my goods, dragon egg prices are low enough that I can sell my rings at a profit, etc. The only thing that I'm surprised about is that the price of Unified Elements hasn't fallen, but since I'm a net supplier not a net consumer of those, that's actually very very much in my favor.

    its not.
RP market its still own by BOTS
    go search #cave of elements

again , the RP should be removed or made bound to account /char so that it won't be sellable
and new changes should be done after this fix.

such as rewarding lvl 70 content with RP
so that players have something to farm and sell to make some AD in the game.
once the r5/peridot market is taken away from the BOTs, players should use that market and get their ADs.

its simple to make a progressive game, if devs would listen to player base.
    QFT. RP BTA.

More RP + AD for us, not the bots.

I have to disagree with you there. Most players aren't getting close to pulling what they made pre-AD nerf. With AD so scarce these days who is gonna splash out on RP on the AH to further support the bots? I'm hoarding all my AD until more prices are lowered. I know many others are too.

i m not even close to have a valid ad income but prices are like 1/3 of what they used to be so im happy
they just need to get rid of stronghold ad prices, trasmo and reinforcements. Put some more epic drop (for salvage purposes) and thats ok. maybe bring back dailies too

Well things are now accessible by everyone. So, imho, it is fixed in this sense. About the bots I don't care... it's a Cryptic internal problem. What I care is about inflation.

In RL economies, inflation is normal and healthy up to a certain degree - somewhere below 5%-ish.

Deflation, however, spells out doom. People hoard money and don't buy goods.

It also is, however, the state the NW economy is in, currently...

And "accessible to everyone":With twelve options, RNGesus can make getting the desired buff for your off-hand a month-filling project. Get real, dude...

Well look at the price of r5 stacks. They jumped from 5k to 13k. It's like every time they try to fix something they hit players more than bots.
