If you feel it's not worth commenting on, why did you just contradict yourself by commenting? If it's a request you find nauseating then don't test your intestinal fortitude, make a post you find actually relevant and allow others to agree or disagree with your premise.
I think you misinterpreted my post, or at least it's purpose. I was replying specifically to your point about the lack of comments regarding bringing back dungeons.
If you want to rekindle the voice to bring back the missing dungeons, by all means. I never successfully finished Castle Never and would enjoy giving it another go.
On a side note, if all chests/loot/drops would be the same, from a currency perspective, what purpose would they serve? Are people going to run dungeons for 2.5k AD that they can finish in 40 minutes or 2 hours? I think it's a safe assumption that if the old dungeons returned, the majority of players would flock what ever T1/2 dungeon they can finish in the least amount of time. Removing the dungeon-specific drops does lower the incentive to run the harder content, and it remains a grind, but with a few more options till one becomes the most efficient. Just like Pirate King was the old dungeon-delve gold-standard for so long. Because you could run through 80% of it.
The other 90% stuff I feel needs fixed first, but then that's just IMO
Sort of a "we will get to your cut finger, yes its important....but first I got to stop the bleeding of this guys amputated limb, put this persons eyeball back in their eye socket, remove the crowbar from this guys skull...oh, and look that kid is turning blue let's get them some oxygen while I'm at it.....just a moment....sorry, I'll be with you shortly...we'll get that finger looked at as soon as we get all this over here..kk?" order of importance.
It's called triage, help the ones dying first, then see to the hangnail.
Dungeons cannot return until they finish their updated loot framework. They have nothing to give us, so there is no purpose in having them other than different scenery to grind through. As others have said, and I have said many many times, they need to fix the underlying issues and come up with a way forward before insisting we have to repeat their content ad nauseum to get basic necessities such as AD and refining items. Do you really think that anyone will want to challenge a revamped CN for 3K AD? Maybe once for the nostalgia factor but Cryptic has become a reactionary beast instead of one that plans and implements. The AD thing should have waited until they had it worked out what they would do to replace it, the dungeons should wait until they have a proper plan for new gear collections and how much RP to add in (along with other suggestions like marks, books, rare potions etc.).
And yea all of your titles have been click bait, just asking for folks to come in and say Nay to thee. Thou art wrong!

LoL triage, now that's something Mr. Shicoff should read up on. Prioritization is not his strong suit.

If you made a post and stated "RETURN CN" and then with a follow up of " and add this to the DD loot" to have a reason to run it..
then you wouldve gotten 2 posts saying "heck ya"
You purposely made a false claim about the state of the game, then are "shocked" when most of us disagree.
Do you think you get extra loot for supporting them for making terrible planned out decisions?
Also.. I mean no offense, but I think posting animated copyrighted material is still wrong. They shouldnt be allowed in the forums.

You need to learn the difference between claim and opinion and, more importantly, between topic and filler. If anyone actually reads the initial post the relevant topic is clear. To disagree with my opinion on the state of the game is a useless gesture as I will not change your opinion nor you mine. People simply haven't learned to stay on topic very well and get distracted too easily on things that have no bearing.
Thanks for your time.

Topics on Game forums are Topical. They mutate and change as the post count increases. IF you want us to cease the conversation you need to close the thread otherwise you are urinating into the wind trying to get people back onto what you think the subject should be.

Instead of bringing the Castle Never dungeon back, I feel it'd be better to turn Castle Never into a non-combat based instance, just to show that hey, all that effort our characters have been doing in rebuilding Neverwinter is actually working, and we're not just infinitely fighting monsters with zero progress at all.

While I understand why the mobs are getting tougher in Strongholds, I had originally thought that the area would become more civilized because we were beating back the hordes and patrolling the area. Similar to they way you would like to see CN built up.

I have no bounds, I will be hypocritical, opinionated, Disorganized, and whatever else I want to be. Now on the current subject of this thread. Underdark will more than likely bring back 1 or 2 of the Dungeons in a Similar Dumbed down format as the current reworked dungeons with little to no change in loot ( Or Possible completely new loot, who knows).
Judging from the Release of Mods 4, 5, and 6 We are looking at 1 New Zone (Maybe 2) and 2-3 Regurgitated Zones. Possibly 1 skirmish and 1 Dungeon (both of which will more than likely be Regurgitated.
Now what is unknown is will they add an expansion to the Stronghold for Underdark or will they wait for the next Mod Release for that.
The State of the Game is Static they Add at the same time as they Remove, the Fix easy Bugs or Bugs affecting their bottom line while ignoring longer standing bugs, They Compound it by creating new builds on Old builds without applying current bug fixes. So no the Game is not getting better as best it is holding on for Dear Life while they Completely change the Economic Model and try to get rid of all the exploited AD in the game at the same time with a Combination of GMOP Price, Leadership, and other Model Changes.
There you go +1 Concise analysis of what has gone before, how they responded in the past, and how they are likely too forthwith.
One need only observe (with a critic eye or two) what has been done, they ARE reactionary to some things and deaf to others, one can't but help notice that they are in juggle mode.

Strongholds do become more "civilized" as you level your guild stronghold up. Wild mobs are replaced with structures, workers, and civilians... It's actually pretty cool

As we've been building I've noticed this, very similar to what I had imagined--with a rougher element always needing to be held at bay. It is pretty cool.
I have never seen the game as bad as it is now. They cannot even make a patch without breaking something new and the quality of the product is far far worse than it ever was. We have less content and more bugs than ever. Every 'fix' they do ends up making the situation worse than ever (lifesteal comes to mind, it is already now worse than it ever was and it hasn't even reached the upper ranges of what it will be). Some people seriously need to be replaced and I would start at the management level first on that.
improve of what, giving you the worst and dont give what they promise what happend here is they felt it,the drain from another game I am a beta player and what I have seen and live in this game was more of a dissapoint What they did now is just let you lick the honey ,then they will take it away I have live that in this game, when you think things will get better. boom! they will ruin another thing
I think it'd be nice to see the mobs harder but, not artificially. When you just increase the enemies level, which results in one shots, it can be frustrating to players. However, increasing the difficulty by changing behaviors and mechanics or, skills and abilities adjusted. In addition to perhaps a slight increases to health can give players mote of a challenge without dying at any point by Roid-head Eddie with his one-hit cheap shots. Just a suggestion anyways.

Well, one thing I'll note is that, enemies are pretty dumb when it comes to things like mobbing me to get frozen by Icy Terrain. But there's a lot of builds that, frankly, would not work if it weren't for mob unintelligence. So saying "oh hey, make them smarter" is a much taller task than it sounds like.
If you compare the game to what it was the first week of mod 6, then yes it has improved.
If you compare this game to what it was from mods 1-3, then, I think many of us would say , no , its much, much worse.
How you can be so optimistic is beyond me. This game is just a grind fest with massive removal of content. I run the same two dds a day and the rest of the time farm trinkets to throw into other trinkets.
Thats not really a good game, like many, Ive been waiting for actual content releases so I can run things.
SH is kinda fun, but its not sustainable, in fact they need to look at several things in it (dragon flight should offer a fang for EACH dragon killed, so a small group of guildies, can kill 1 dragon every coulpe hours)
Siege is kinda fun, but its a lag fest (as well as stronghold map)
Things are not that rosy, again, its better then Mod 6 release, but how can it NOT be? That was the worst moment in this games content release.
Agreed. Patch notes still come once a week, and they don't look more robust as OP claims would have you think. I'm mostly staying off the boards and trying not to add more fuel to the fire. It's actually a disservice to the development to post a topic like this without letting the changes come to reality? They'll figure it out. Topic just seems premature.
You know guys, what I have noticed with almost any forum post I make is that whatever the primary bit of information I'm trying to convey most people simply ignore. What they chose to attack is my tone or personal opinion. If you don't agree that this mod is improving that's fine, if you don't agree that class balance is occurring that's fine as well, if you hate every change made since mod 1, it's completely your prerogative.
What almost no one seems to comment on, and the singular statement of any import, is the request to bring back the old dungeons. This happens in almost every post. If you don't share my enthusiasm for the game, that's completely up to you. However, the most relevant comments someone could make would be "I agree let's get CN and the other dungeons back" or "Forget the old dungeons, they're useless because....." All the comments about my personal opinion on the state of the game are actually completely irrelevant. If you prefer to hate a game and continue to play it, that is not my fault, make a forum post about what you think should be improved and I'll give you a +1 or a -1 and we can try and improve the game in this fashion by giving feedback.
Thanks for your time
Well all i can say is you should not stick your opinions out there and expect them to be ignored by people who do not agree with them. If they are , indeed irelevant, then why include them in the first place? You debate like an SJW..."if you dont agree with my opinions, then you must hate my cause!" this could not be any more wrong. Just because people do not like aspects of the game , or it's current direction, does not mean they hate the game.
You either need a thicker skin , or you need to refrain from making your opinions public.
I have been singing the praises of the Devs this mod because they are obviously paying attention to the state of the game. More than any other mod things are being looked at fixed quickly. The response times on issues related to gameplay, economy, bugs has improved exponentially. There is lots of new content to explore, guild strongholds to upgrade, gear to strive for, enchants and artifacts to rank up, and boons to achieve! There is plenty of PVP content with multiple different types of PVP modes and more balance being added to classes every day.
I support this statement 100%!
LOL noice mang
Oh God please do!!! I never got play the other dungeons. I have watch them played by my sister that's what got me into the game. But I was still do other things in STO at time. And missed out so no jokes please.

You apparently didn't read my statements at all. My opinions are not the subject matter, it's called critical reading/thinking... it's generally taught very early on in school. You're welcome to disagree with my opinion that the game is improving as I stated but it doesn't further the discussion at all. The primary topic is the dungeons... It seems a lot of people have a hard time picking that out.
By the way, I do have thick skin, I also have to lower my expectations on people's ability to pick out the relevant information from opinion that is really little more than filler.
Thanks for your reply.

Hey Tolkeinbuff, I appreciate you bringing to light things that would improve this game. You don't need to continue to rebutt those who personally attack you, as it goes off-topic needlessly. It could be misplaced anger towards the Devs/Cryptic that you are receiving. I understand you have thick skin, so I don't have to defend you by any means.
Now, getting the old dungeons back would be a good thing. I liked the old mechanics which had room for various party compositions to shine (e.g. Spellplague where controlling mobs/pushing them off cliffs were part of the dungeon, or Dread Vault, where you had to have some tactics to defeat the final boss, of which the stealthed TR shined).
Firstly, Devs/Cryptic should bring back the dungeons. Keep some of the dungeons for levelling purposes (to fix the broken quest lines while leveling) and a different level for 2-2.5k+ IL, and for hardcore seasoned veterans for 3k+ IL. The more challenging dungeons should have scaled rewards according to difficulty. Let there be a logical progression to gear and difficulty as one progresses from normal, epic and 'legendary' dungeons.
