So how do you plan to get enough Coal Wards to create this much enchantment without proper ZAX entry.I sold 6 coal ward in one hour today thanks to Zen exchange and all I earned 6k for one enchantment.I wasnt doing it for the money.I just wanted normal players to get cheaper Wards who dont know how to use ZAX or dont have time for it.
You cant close down the ZAX because most essential stuff is in the Zen store and this game is F2P so you cant just expect them to gate nonpaying players from most crucial items but they cant also sell those items with AD because they also need money
But the only things free players really need from ZAX to run game:
- wards - coals - some services (like Retrain and Race Reroll tokens)
Other - just cosmetics. Playable for free players w/o these HAMSTER.
IT MUST BE AVAILABLE FROM WONDROUS BAZAAR
Right ?
and mounts... and companions... and bags...
Live in our new game without additional bags. There's only one source in game for bags and that's tiamat which comes much later than when players need bags.

@riannscelosbg There are 2600 players joining through steam alone.

You can get most essential stuff from Wondrous Bazaar if not the AH. The Zen store is full of overpriced mounts and companions. I've bought there, but I always feel a little dirty walking out. I usually exchange Zen for AD and by from AH--as long as the price is in line.

You can get one small bag from Blacklake in the first few levels and another from Neverdeath a little later. (I just finished levelling an alt.) They give you about 24 slots together. It's not enough. There ae always the $10 and $16 *virtual* bags from the Zen store. This makes me laugh, and then sigh.
I think none of us thought that would ever happen. I wanted it to happen, and I still do, but only as a part of a bigger plan that includes each and every character being able to supply the items and AD needed for his/her own progression.
Impossible. The idea behind the ZAX is that people can earn currency in game to then spend in the Zen store. If you close the ZAX, then it's impossible to earn anything from the Zen store in game. It all has to be purchased.
A tenet of Neverwinter is being able to exchange currency so that people who chose to spend more time and no money can still earn Zen to spend in the store.
However, the closing of the ZAX would complete the one thing that this company has completely failed to do. Crush the botters of the game. Of course it would also cut out Cryptic's underhanded and dishonest changes that attempt to get people to spend real money to catch up to players in game who have cheated and exploited the way to the top....
Which is the real reason why you will never see the ZAX closed.
Sorry guys, I know it's a harsh thing to say. But there is nothing that anyone connected to Neverwinter has ever said that has lead me away from not trusting the people in charge. And mistrust from me is something you have to earn...
If you closed the ZAX, people who have all this AD and zen spread out between multiple characters and even multiple accounts would suddenly find those funds frozen on the characters they have. Problem solved. That 1 act alone would completely negate the 2+ years of dishonest exploiting in game.
Well, they're going to remove AD from Leadership next week... that's just a fact. And there is nothing concrete about some kind of "bigger plan" behind all this.

And that is one of the greatest failings of this company. Cryptic being...cryptic. What they are doing with what they have planned is just not going to work. But they will "Wait and see" and because of that the game will suffer more and lose more of it's lifeblood that keeps it running.
It's poor decisions like this that I was hoping to see change with the change of Devs. I really don't think these decisions are being thought through enough.
Just another guess, but perhaps they're testing how far they can go with this here on the PC version, adjust it, and then move on with the change to the Xbox version.
Or are they going to remove AD from Leadership on PC and Xbox at the same time?

THat's a good question. I have a feeling this will be PC only...
FYI I went through the Xbox forums. These changes are NOT going to that version of the game, it's PC only.
Closing the ZAX won't hurt botters - you'd have to close the AH and disable trade to do that. This leadership change won't do anything to botters - which of course is expected since that's not what it was for anyway.
Right now everyone is waiting on Black Desert. Games like NWO have a short window to cash in on players that would have exited anyway regardless of the mindless changes we have been seeing since Mod6 hit. The thing is, if you have been following the BDO forums they right now are wrestling with the sub vs f2p model and are trying to get the community to decide. The Russian servers are both, one for subs with everything available via play, and one server that's F2P with many shortcut type and cosmetic items in the cash shop. The problem with that is they don't want to split the community for the EU/NA release and want the community to decide which way to go. It's crazy. They want the PLAYERS to decide.
If only Cryptic had confided in the players about the financial state of the game back when things started going bad we could have helped devise a solution and felt personally invested in it's success. Instead they decided to pull sneaky underhanded stuff, but only after locking lots of players in via the VIP program. NWO will be a case study of how to take a great game and destroy it one bad decision at a time. Scott Shicoff will be the poster boy for that failure unfortunately as he seems to be at the very center of it.
