Any tips for pvp 70 lvl gear?

shrike025shrike025 Member Posts: 50 Arc User
Hi,

So I'm finally close to lvl 70. I did mostly crafting and praying stuff recently, co my gear is rather... weak.

I want to focus mainly on PVP - could you give my any tips on how to get good items and what I should be looking for? Currently I have about 250k AD, Leadership at 17 and 7 slots available. I enjoy PVP, but I'm really bored with dungeons and repetitive PVE...

I didn't find any epic 70 lvl items on the auction house. Is it worth to buy companions? Or artifacts and enchantments? I saw gear that comes from glory, but I don't know if it's the best choice.

Search "battlescarred" in the AH for blue items around your level to use until you get to lvl 70 and grind enough glory for the epic 70 burning stuff from trade of blades. Once you hit 70 you can get a free artifact offhand from Knox, you'll have to do vigilant quests in Spinward rise for the mainhand, but they will soon be reducing it from 48 to 24 quests. Buy enough peridots to level them up to at least 15 and then start start saving your AD for enchantments.

Yes, but only instances. At Stronhold Siege they will be disabled too?

If the next Neverwinter Comabt League comes around and the rewards still include Elemental Burning PVP sets, go farm the Combat a Tokens really hard in DOM PVP and you'll have a shot at some of these epic PVP gears.

This was how many fresh L70 players and PVE-ers gotten their set of PVP gears previously.

Disclaimer: This is contingent on the mechanics of NCL staying the same and the rewards for PVP gears being available in the next run. It did incur the wrath of some PVPers who invested a lot of resources to get the currently BIS Elemental Burning only for a new player to be able to get them for 100 tokens.

Firstly you have to be in a guild and secondly that guild has to opt in for pvp, which has not been released in SH yet. Afaik companions will be disabled for SH pvp.

As @benskix2 suggested you can pick up blue pvp gear from AH but depending on how close to lvl 70 you are it may not be worth the cost to buy that pvp gear only to replace it shortly afterwards. Personally I followed the same route every Mod in that I only pursued pvp gear once I hit cap. It may have pished people off but I entered pvp wearing pve gear. It is more painful to endure but at least I saved my ADs.

Great thanks for the tips :). And about the artifacts - I'm going to buy the set of the Seldarine for my devoted cleric (I think it's the best option) - how much is it to upgrade green to blue? (for example Greater belt of the Seldarine). I don't know if I should buy green and do it myself to blue.
