Spending Cap on AD for XBox?

darksabrzdarksabrz Member Posts: 12 Arc User
I saw a thread that seemed focused on PC and issues with Steam and buying Zen, and having run into the same problem here on XBox One without finding any answers off-hand, I feel compelled to ask what's going on? I'm not aware of my account being put on any sort of "probation" or anything like that, and it's been several days since I purchased Zen through the XBox Store. That said, does buying Zen through the XBox Store have the same issue with Neverwinter and account "probation" for us XBox One players that buying Zen through Steam has had for those playing on PC?

It sounds odd, it usually goes through instantly for me when purchasing through the Xbox Store. I don't think I have ever had a probation period for the Xbox. When you purchased did it say anything? Like purchase completed?

That's an issue specific to Steam purchases, and not applicable to XB1. Did you check to see that your Zen purchase actually went through? Check your credit / debit card account. I'd guess that's where your issue lies.

I know it went through with my XBox funds, because it does that instantly when you make the purchase. It just struck me as odd, because I was trying to set myself up to have the Accursed Diabolist armor set ready and waiting for me once I hit level 60, and I was only able to purchase one and bid on two others before I suddenly hit this astral diamond spending cap.

Yes, there is a spending cap for AD on Xbox. Many players never notice it. It is only in effect until you have a level 60 character. After that, no limit. Cryptic/PWE never give the exact details, but the limit seems to trigger somewhere between 60,000 - 90,000 AD per day for the account (not character).

Aha! That explains things. Thank you, zephyriah.

I, also, should have said that it applies to the Auction House. Although, you can get over that limit with one single high value purchase before triggering the limit. Multiple purchases trigger the limit somewhere around the range I listed.
