NW Small Guilds is for people in guilds who almost never have 5 people online at the same time to organize a guild dungeon run, but want to participate in Strongholds. Of course, anyone who'd be willing to help fill groups with members of small guilds is also welcome to join.
To join, simply go into your chat options (the cog on the chat window) under custom and type in NW Small Guilds and click join, or type /channel_join NW Small Guilds into chat.
Note that it's useful to know how to access chat options because you can see who is online in your custom chat channels... particularly as group finder.
Please be a good citizen in our community. Hate speech, griefing, or exploiting will be met with me being very disappointed in you.

There are a lot of us around who are too proud, too nostalgic, too stubborn, too whatever to disband our existing guilds. We can try active recruitment, but I think the majority of non-guilded players right now are more likely to gravitate towards larger guilds that can accommodate them, and understandably so.
So, we might not presently be able to tackle those big Stronghold HEs, and there's no formal "alliance" structure in the game itself, but would enough people be interested in a custom chat channel to form co-op dungeon groups to make it worth creating one? Or, since I'm anti-exploit even though I've never personally bothered to sign up to the Legit channel, would there be too much overlap there?
I don't mind running it if people would use it, but I'm in a few custom chat channels that are all dead air all the time, and I don't really want to make another of those.

Can small guilds help each other out, in that way?
I won't leave the small guild I lead, and I can't recruit from the players I know and trust the most.

I expect we'll all be given the same dungeon daily, assuming Strongholds works like every other module with rotating dailies. Since these are completed outside of the Stronghold map, all we'd need to do is party up, and each of us contributes our earnings to our own guild. I think it could be a solution for guilds that seldom see a roster full enough to run a 5-player group.

I think she means running dungeons and tasks as a multi-guild group so each guild can get the stuff needed to make the stronghold buildings a little quicker.
Having a custom channel for smaller guilds would speed up any LFG requests and give the smaller guilds a central point of contact.
Naw, they can run with us. Lord knows with people vanishing left and right the last few months, the more of us who remain get together the better - big, small, medium, no guild - the better.

Hmn, I am guild second with about 10-15 players during peak times. How does one join these chat channels.
I belong to nwc and legit as well. Are we talking in game or raid call or skype?

If I do this, I would make it a custom chat channel in Neverwinter, like Legit. I would make it public rather than by invitation for simplicity, so all you'd have to do is go into your chat options and add yourself to the channel, or use the "channel join" chat command.
I'll probably go ahead and make the channel (but also lurk Cloaks), and update the first post here with instructions.
I'm 100% in support of this and will happily try to drag myself and any members of our guild who are still around after Mod 7 hits (though between the VIP announcement and the Stronghold Booster Pack that may not be too many) in to it.
I've been worried about the efficacy of small guilds in this mod since they announced it and will do everything I can to try to help keep ours and everyone else's afloat!

I've made an open channel, NW Small Guilds. Editing first post with join info.
Well your welcome to join partyzone it is a multiguild channel we made a while back. It went dead when my guild was the last guild still active. I am trying to revive it. /channel_join partyzone If you chose not two I recommend making your channel one word. I can just type /partyzone to change channels.
I'd even further it to offering temporal affilation / joining and re-quitting other small guilds for a day of assisting those guilds' big projects, provided this is a replicated favor.
Simply put: You need manpower on your SH map? Set a date, recruit a few people for the time, and help them on their guilds' SH map by joining up, too. After that, I'd however wish to return to my beloved Order of the Raven, and expect the peeps I just helped to pay back by assisting with our project...
To that avail, a tempory dual membership option, or "invited guest" status would be most helpful.

On an honor system, I would support voluntary member exchange programs. Might be tough to organize on a large scale, but we're all starting small.
I see the point about making a one-word chat channel name. If I'm still the only member when I get home, I might nuke the channel and try again, but if there are people signed up, then I have to decide if it's worth the bother.

Well, the idea is that for things like dungeon runs you don't have to change guilds, just party up and queue together. With a successful run, everyone gets their shards for their respective coffers. That's why I don't see any way for it to be abused. At least not any worse than whatever can already go on in a dungeon where you're semi-pugging.
The large heroic encounters are on the Stronghold map, which is members-only, and would require an exchange program that would be harder to administer, if formalized. I don't object to it, but there are risks.

Indeed. It's for that reason I suggested using a basic free forum. You could use Shivtr for that. Easy to set up and easy to maintain. The free plan should be more than sufficient for your needs.
...aw, let's keep that ingame, shall we?
My experiences with shivtr are not really pleasant - I still don't get access to their NW_Legit stuff, and by now I don't want to any longer. Fortunately I've been an early adaptor here and hence on the channel list...
Honestly, this would be something where I'd just do it in NW chat. What's the problem with that??? Guild bank thieves? Well, clear your bank before doing that big stuff. It's only for a short time, after all. Non-compliance with the vice-versa thing? Another entry in my twitfilter and I'll never fall for that guy's/girl's lies again, and with minimal bookkeeping the guild should also be off my radar.
Would any of these be blocked by getting off-game??? IDK & think so, rather the opposite. Also, channel mods can exclude ppl, too, huh?
