Boons and Vault of the Nine

cybergutscyberguts Member Posts: 141 Arc User
So, we're getting all the mods we're missing; and more Boons.

Now, can I do the boons in ANY order now with them all dropping at once; OR do I have to do them in a set order?

And lastly, relating to the boons; can I go to the Vault of the Nine for the class artifact anytime now or have to wait for a particular opening?

Ok, the new campaign zones - Sharandar, Dread Ring, and Icewind Dale - are all level 70. So you will need to level up to level 70 first. Well of Dragons will also be level 70. However, once you are level 70, you can start doing all 3 of the new campaigns on the same day. You might be able to do Sharandar or Dread Ring before you are level 70, if you are well geared. Icewind Dale - the enemies are level 73, and if you are under geared or way under level 70, you will die, usually in 1 hit by some minion.

Vault of the Nine requires you to have 2 characters above level 60 in order to get the quest. The quest starts in Icewind Dale, in Caer Konig. You talk to Jarlaxle, with 2 of your characters that are above level 60. The quest is level 70, and the place you have to go to is hard if you are undergeared or solo, but if you have a group of well geared friends, you might be able to do it at level 60. On PC - Before Mod 6 was released, you had to have 3 boons from either Sharandar or Dread Ring before going into Icewind Dale, however that requirement was lifted when PC got Mod 6.

Hope this answers your questions. :)

Relax and enjoy the ride. Get some in game friends, join a guild, grind some xp, and run some dungeons. Before you know it, you are level 70.

Hard, the worst part is the quest "structure" were instead of receiving quests and completing then you will get to "choose any 4 quests until reach 16" and then go to the next area, there are enough quests to make it in an order but they prefered to do this way god knows why.

Yep that's exactly what I'll do, just thought I'd ask a general question in the forums though ;)

Uh, Kreatyve, do you mean suddenly all level 60's will be too low to access Wells and Tiamat? If that's correct that means we've got a few weeks to get enough Linu's favors for what we want before it becomes too hard for several months?

Is that a correct assumption or am I jumping to conclusions?

Partially correct. You will not lose access to anything that you have unlocked and will need to meet the new equipment score , but the difficulty may be too high for you to accomplish anything there. You will not be beating Tiamat on Day 1 of Mod 6 because getting a group that is high enough in power and defense will be practically/actually impossible, but you may be able to do some of the dailies.

Vault of the Nine requires you to have 2 characters above level 60 in order to get the quest.

This is confusing me... I, personally, need to have two toons at 60... or... Two different characters, owned by two different people, need to do the quest(s) together?

If it is the former, why? What is the logic for needing two of your own at 60 when you can only ever play one at a time? What about the people (like myself) that really only level a second toon up during double XP? I really don't understand the requirement at all.

At this point, Ill accept the 'really bro, this is not that difficult' but for me it seems to be.

    Thanks.
