Question about uninstalling and re-installing

So today I turned on my xbox and went to load up NW but when I did the update screen came up saying there was an error with installing an update.

I'm assuming there is is no update and it's my xbox not able to load the game so I uninstalled and am now re installing.

I'm praying even though I uninstalled that all my data is on the NW servers/shards.

Am I correct in assuming this?

    All characters aand stats are server side so you will be okay. Im currently re-installing too hoping to fix this issue but it seeems to be taking forever to install

    My game has re installed now and I've got the the play, options, credits screen but Play isn't highlighted and I can't select it.

    I hate to say this but from what I'm reading, I don't think the issue is on your side. Sounds like a lot of people are getting an update error. I've got a feeling the issue won't resolve till after the scheduled maintenance today.

    Honestly, I think they started the update a lot sooner then expected, by mistake. I think someone on their end hit the UPDATE GAME button, and so none of us can get on until it is done.

    If it was the same one that hit the 'send the wrong lockbox into the game' button a few weeks ago they need to seriously examine their hiring practices.

    Finally got done re-installing.....STILL BROKEN!
