Update: Maintenance has completed!

Neverwinter will have its scheduled maintenance tomorrow 7/30 at 7am PDT. Estimated downtime is roughly 1.5 hours. This will just be a server reset as our team focuses on Strongholds for the time being.

So you guys decided to keep ignoring the playerbase again ? How long is it gonna carry on this way ? Are you waiting to have to shut down the game to finally understand that you might have prefered to listen to players a bit more rather completly ignore them and do whatever you wanted ? People are leaviing right now, i noticed it, my both guilds are almst empty, PE is like half busy as it used to be and tchat zone is only invaded by flooders and spammers.
YOU NEED TO listen to some of the players demands. I've been reading forums everyday since the maintenance from 2 weeks ago, you have to be blind or something to not see that your game is going down.
Let me get this straight, at this point, WE DO NOT CARE about stronghold as long as nothing is done in the actual content.
We won't carry on playing and even worrse paying for a game that doesn't do the minimum for its players...

Typical. Absolutely typical. We get that you guys are working on the new module. But it would be wonderful if, for once, you could actually focus on fixing a little more before you actually roll out new content.

HERE IS HOW YOU CAN SAVE THE CONTENT OF MODULE 6.

    1. Decrease the HP of the mobs and decrease their damage, but increase their recharge speed.

    2. put rewards at the end of each epic dungeon, rewards that give about 40k-50k Rrefining Points.

    3. increase each dungeon iLVL requirment by 500.

    4. Decrease the high amount of XP you need to level up from lvl 70-overflow , 1.700.000 it's just insanse to get, not to mention you have 1/3 chances to get a power point.

    5. for each 10 levels the character gets 2 power points instead of 1.

    6. in wonderous bazaar we have prices that are exageratted, as GMOPs prices are fine as they are, we need the Flawless saphires to be equivalent in AD as they give RP. 1 flawless saphire = 5k AD.

    7. Remove the Refining Stones/ enchants that you get through skill nodes. If you press "O" and go to find persons and write "Ghost Stories" you will find around #2000+ instances, those instances are filled out with bots, as bannin them wont bring any sort of improvement, cuz they are multipling as amibas, maybe it's time to reward the PLAYERS and not the botters leaving more chances for botters to get the stuff for PLAYERS, thats where you guys are wrong , and exploits done way more better job than you guys ever done to economy or in helping players, but you can still change that.

    8. the prices for your RP in ZEN MARKET is old and it needs a rework.

    9. give more ways of entertaining, put riddles, make the content more interractive with the player, satify the needs of your customers, both pve and pvp, make special zones for duels, give them a special zone where they can ride huge dragons, make the game fun and ejoyable etc.

    10. Fix the lag in dwarven valley/icewind dale, increase the drops from encounters.

    11. The people that are in charge with the community , pay them to play 1-2 hours the game, and not only when they stream, they dont know a thing of what is happening in game and when they give the reports to devs its not makin any improvement at all.

    12. Ask players to test the game at least chose15 of them to test the game with you guys each month at least in matter of improving the class balance, we are sick over our heads of all this REBOOTS that you guys are doing. it's easy to get those players if your community manager would try to talk with the PVP community

    13. Bring back the way they used to work Dragon hoard enchantments/Feyblessing/tymora/salvager and remove this requirment of having more of them increases the chances, you guys need to do what you've done with the Tenebrous enchantment, and that is even if you have 1 or 7 it will still procc only 1 every 20s, in the case of them make them 30s procc , and remove white pearls at lvl 70.

    14. Talk with your designers and add more items to transmute, some of them are looking horrible, we need better looking armors so that we can transmute for 50k and get rid of the loads of AD that is in game.

    15. Stop lookin like horses only infront, when you guys have alot of stuff to fix in your backs.

if its needed more i can write more.

They've always done so towards the end of a mod and this is no different. So flaming for not seeing any fixes 2 weeks before a new mod drops is a bit over the top.

lets hope so, cuz since the 1st week of mod 6 epic dungeons are bugged, when u get 2x dmg from mobs for no reason it was reported several time u even have videos and picture showing it like 200k (100k), so u get 2x dmg and you dr its just ignored and we are not talking about crit hit, and so far nothing lets see if mod 7 bring that fix.
if not it will bring new bug that will no be fixed cuz devs are already work on next mod.

in my country we have a saying "não deixes para amanhâ o que podes fazer hoje!" (dont leave for tomorrow what u can do today!), so why leave the fixed for next module when all 6 modules brought more bug than fixes.

For once I agree with magenubbie...don't get overworked about all the stuff that "could have been" and look to the future. I have been in preview and am looking forward to the strongholds going live. There is a lot of feedback in there and they are trying to make sure that the bugs are worked out, so let them do it right with this mod and quit crying over spilled milk...whiners.

I have to disagree here. They had more than enough time to fix at least some things usefull and to do it intelligently before starting thinking about the next mod. Complains in forums arent from a couple of weeks but pretty much since mod6 released. They cant keep holding off players and keep focus on new mods and new ways to make money from them. Ive spent enough time and money as a lot of us to deserve to be at least listened and answered by them. But it seems like the only thing in their mind so far is to punish old players and casuals by making everything harder and more grindy. Compare to pret mod6, the game is a disaster. Differences between casuals/non payer players and rich players and hard players is getting huge, and even remaining dungeons are being very frustrating for average geared players because they cant succeed them. A lot of work to do indeed, but shortly, not in mod9.

Yeah, Strongholds Mod seems to be in very good shape, so the devs aren't going to be spending weeks fixing all the bugs, unlike Mod 6.

Let's hope they have a few days to fix old bugs before everyone is working on Mod 8.

Well at least they could gave the 600 item level back that I lost several weeks ago after a maint, gave bug reports for it from the start, I know their were more ppl that lost that huge amount and gave also reports, don't know why we have to wait so long to get it back
  • kvetkvet Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 2,700 Arc User
So happens there's a LOT of issues fixed on Preview that aren't on Live at the moment. Noticed just now the invoke bug seems to be at least mostly fixed (got the 0/0 error, but not the double invoke bug - will need to wait and see whether the 0/0 is a fluke and won't happen now that I un-stuck it post-preview patch). A lot of the bugs people are crying over are being fixed or already have been, but they're being packaged with Strongholds rather than backported for release now. It took 3 mods to get us into this mess, you can't really expect someone will just *snap* their fingers and change everything right way. Q is in STO, silly.

*cheer loudly* great !!! Finally someone who appoints what among others things is wrong with this game, and what need to do if you want to have a healthy and balanced game!!

Fix the bugs that you left with installing all the "new" patches. Buy a extra server or maybe cheaper.. upgrade the one you use now. And maybe i say maybe players start to enjoy Neverwinter again. Play it with pleasure again. Feeling good to spend there time in Neverwinter and telling others how great this game is. Now they get bored, irritated and finally they quit. And after a while Neverwinter will be history. Pity because it has potential

Because it starts to look like you can play neverwinter for free but buying zen you are victorious. Players who buy their status with zen will soon be the rulers in stronghold. Or maybe we must call it Zenhold.

Agreed. The team is probably skeletal and they need every man working on Stronghold when we're less than 2 weeks from launch.

If they focus on fixing existing bugs, I'm pretty sure people will be QQing here about the horrendous amount of bugs SH brings (granted this may still be the case but at least they're working hard to reduce them through Preview testing and feedback).

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the bugs fixed as much as you guys, but if they sat on it for so long, I can bet my last dollar they certainly won't act on them with a new MOD due in 2 weeks.

Let's give them some breathing space, and once SH is launch, we'll "gently remind" them of the old bugs that still need fixing.

Let's all direct these complain ts a little higher. Most of us have had jobs and I am sure most of us have found that management directs us to do things based on a different priority set than we would choose due to having a far different perspective. The developers certainly have a disconnect with us but their managers must have a disconnect with them too.

    Example:

(Dev) Boss, we're getting a lot of messages from angry players. They all seem to want us to change a lot of stuff. What do you want to do?

(Boss) We've got a schedule to keep. Ignore them and follow the instructions I previously gave you.

(Dev) But Boss, they're really unhappy and... and players have stopped playing the game!

(Boss) What? We can't afford to lose that income. I know. Work things so that they need to spend to get ahead.

(Dev) You remember that the last time we did that the players got angry and many stopped playing, right?

(Boss) That was then. This is a new situation. Now do it!

(Dev) *sighs* Okay, you're the boss, but we'll need a little more time in the schedule for that.

(Boss) There's no more time available. Just get it done.

(Dev) But boss, that's against the laws of physics.

(Boss) I make the laws around here. I don't want excuses. I want results. Make it happen!

(Dev) You know, boss, maybe you should play the game some. The players tell us to all the time, but we never have time because you set such a hard schedule. Maybe if you tried it it would help.

(Boss) Do I look like a kid? I don't have time for games! I'm the goddam boss goddammit! Money! For me! Right now! Go get it from those idiot players and give it to me! Before I FREAK OUT ALL OVER YOU! NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW! AAAAHHHH!

(Dev) ... I'm starting to think management is not living in reality...

It's probbly because since day 1 of the game broken stuff has remained that way. New mods come out they might fix something but it will cause more broken stuff then it fixes and cycle repeats with next new mod.

each big mod is hailed to fix the last big mod however they just keep adding more and more defects and say its all good next mod will fix that..... cant they just work on the content we have and sort that and have smaller mods adding things and maps as they are created and fix them they should use some sort of agile model not this silly waterfall that doesn’t have any user feedback and tbh the analysis phase was way way off the mark

Version 1 has bug and players have a long wish list.
Version 2 is coming. Where should dev fix the bug? Where should the wish items be?
Fix version 1 and fix version 2? Double QA (if there is any).
Or, fix version 2 because it will replace version 1 in 2 weeks?
Would we ask them to fix mod 5 and mod 4? We won't, right?

I think the choice is simple.
