Does the destruction of your Guild Hall in PVP, result in your PVE Guild Hall having to be rebuilt? If so, no one will PVP.
This is pretty much THE question people have. What lasting affects are there on your stronghold once the PVP is over? Is it like STO where your real base is untouched, and just a copy of it goes to battle? Do you need to make repairs?
I'm hoping the actual Stronghold is basically untouched....if the amount of damage you do in the battlefield is reflected on the actual stronghold afterwards......complaints will be through the roof of teams just putting off victory just to do more damage.

^^^^^ Ditto.
Otherwise, this actually sounds like fun.
Well, except for the permastealth TRs and invincible GFs and OPs.

I started a thread earlier today asking almost exactly that question
Another quick question that arises from the description given in the blog: just how long do the Devs think these sieges are going to last ? Judging by the list of events and requirement to keep things supplied, it reads like several hours for just one siege. Not something I envisage many players will have the time for, never mind the staying power !

Am I the only one who groaned upon reading "When the dragon appears, CULT OF THE DRAGON golems also enter the map"? I like the whole idea, provided it isn't a 6 hour siege event like mentioned before, but enough of the dragons. We've killed pretty much everyone in the cult of the dragon several hundred thousand times (at least) in Tiamat by now, the cult has been defeated. Furthermore, what is the cult of the dragon even doing in the strongholds area? The guilds aren't directly affiliated with Neverwinter (the city, not the game). They have no reason to be there, they are just thrown in because some extra enemies were deemed necessary. I get that the cult of the dragon is a big event, but we've done this song and dance before. Isn't it about time for generic badguy #3 to be set aside for something new?
The 'new' stronghold pvp is essentially the same as what Perfect World International had when I played in 2007-2009 called Territory War. Two 'guilds' on opposites sides of a 3 lane map, the towers mentioned in another part of this, and some carts. Reskinned is about it. Does NW have plans to bring the Dragon Temple from PWI over also? That was a pvp map based underwater.

Judging by how much people are saying a Stronghold is a reskinned Fleet Base, this seems the most likely scenario.

Even Cryptic wouldn't be stupid enough to damage the actual guild holdings.

Will it/could it be possible to enjoy this new PvP addition without being in a guild or as a small guild (less than 20)?
