Blacklake Bots

Started a new toon last night and when I got to Blacklake there were a bunch of what must be bots but I could not figure out why. There were about a dozen, stationary but wiggling about, just north of the entrance. Most seemed to be mid-thirties level. They were out in the open, nowhere near any nodes/loot/dungeon doors etc.

What's that about then? Are they just bugged?
....has left the building, and the game, and gone to play Guild Wars 2.

    There are bots in Blacklake since the begining of time. I actually saw them few weeks after I started playing (some 2 years ago ~ ). Everyone knows about them, some people report them, and that's that :)

    They are probably just running skirmishes from there to level up to 60, and then move on to Neverdeath Graveyard to farm the nodes in the Ghost Stories quest.
    I do believe in killing the messenger...

    No, you go into blacklake, walk past the opening camp and right there on the corner, bot-city. they spawn, kill that first mob group if it's there, otherwise they go back to where they spawned and change toons or instances or whatever it is they do.

    ...and if someone complains, Cryptic can "comp" them a couple injury kits and call it a day.

    Then unflag them as a bot.

    Better yet have them drop everything they have picked up in the last 24 hours.. Think of them as pinatas.

    They have their own little foundry quest in BlackLake, the fact that they can bot right out in the open leads me to believe GM's are allowing it to happen. It's been reported a great many of times yet nothing has been done about it.

    I know the ones that you mean. I have heard of a Foundry quest that covers all the requirements and it drops RP stones like you would not believe. I was chatting with someone who was invited into this "quest" and he spent hours in there. He collected stacks of all kinds of RP stones... for himself... not for resale.
