Need tips on getting the perfect look for my CW - R/P

ironmakoironmako Member Posts: 28 Arc User
I created a CW specifically to be modelled on the legendary wizard, Merlin. I've kind of based my own char to be a bit of a bumbly, slightly disgruntled wizard, like Merlin from Disney's Sword in the Stone.

So far, I've got him the Arcane Wanderers outfit, but I was wondering if there is any other outfit/armour which would be better suited to him. Maybe an outfit which is simple, maybe a bit raggy?

I'm also looking for suggestions on mounts and the main hand weapon. He's currently mounted on a Guard Drake, but this looks a little excessive. Is there a book or some other inanimate object skin which I can use on the orb? I've seen the watering can in the summer festival, and this might be a contender, as it fits in with the feel of the character.

For a companion, I got the Owl and I called him Archimedes (it had to be done).

Any Suggestions are welcome!

Book weapon skin, yes. Tome of the Fey from the Sharandar store and Tome of Command from the Wondrous Bazaar. Fey is a little more elegant-looking so you might prefer the other.

I don't know that you're going to be able to do better on the armor pieces than Arcane Wanderer. Pointy wizard hat, of course, but other robes are usually even less robe-like and Wanderer has patches and visible stitching and things.

For a mount, it's hard to go wrong with a classic horse. Which one depends on how much AD you're willing to sink into perfecting your creation, because I'm thinking one of the unarmored ones would have the best look, and they're slow.

This might be what you're lookin for....my Halloween outfit. 3 transmuted item.......The Robe of Useless Items (if ya can get it), Thunderhowl Wraps (arms), and the Bone Shard Bindings (feet). The latter two are cheap common AH items.

Ah, their quite good. If you see the mounts I have already, you will see that I am a bit of a mount collector, so AD is not too much of a problem

I was looking at the horses myself, but I would probably have to train it up.

I've seen the watering can for a skin for the orb from the summer festival, but i don't think it could be dyed, as I think a floating red watering can near him would certainly carry the bumbly-wizard image!

I will check out the books though, many thanks for that
