The 2x Exp is not even helping... Takes 1.5-2 hours to lvl from 65-66 and its going to take longer for the next ones..
Seriously what happen to the exp? You really want to make players quit?
Now we need 4x exp events not 2x.
Needs to be reverted to how it was before or make quests give triple the exp it gives now...
Didn't think Mod6 could get any worse. *Sigh*
There was a good reason this change was made - it was based on feedback in these forums.
Before this xp-per-level increase, it was so easy to get a character to max level, much more quickly than any other MMO I have ever played. Even with this increase, you can still level a character faster in this game than any other games I know.
It's a moot point. There are so many bigger issues in this game right now, sorry to say.

When I played WoW... I leveled my NE Rogue AND my new Deathknight from 70 to 80 in a week. They did not change the mechanics with each patch nor messed with a game that wasn't broken because people were whining.

The changes to the XP system were not necessary, and they should simply fix this ... in this weeks patch.
They have other bigger issues to tackle too?
Well, then they shouldn't waste time messing around with someting, that was clearly not broken!
Here is a simple rule, before you patch something ask yourself, will this increase the fun for the regular player?
Yes. -> Patch it.
No. -> Forget it! And come up with something else!

then people need to stop bitching on the forums about xp and HAMSTER when there is game breaking bugs .

It will now take the average player around 18-20 hours to go from 69 to 70.
This is NOT a minor issue. Unless you like playing on an empty server, of course.

Indeed, one cannot suddenly make the leveling tremendously longer then it was before. This needed to have been done better, and not in such an obvious way as to force people to use their garbage Elemental Zones for more then just the main hand artifact.
OMG, if they had made those areas more like the 1-60 zones with like a real story, listened to the feedback about how to fix the quest situation, and other things found in countless other feedback related posts... we might actually go there for what they intended. Sorry, beating a dead horse again.

I wouldn't doubt that considering that a lot of the folks on this forum tend to be the very whales they so enjoy soaking which is why I have never felt like the regular forum crowd in a general sense has the new and average player in mind.
That being said difficulty, grind, gear gaps kind of are more than what you want to shrug off as a minor issue considering that as more casuals, free to play, and small transaction players leave there will be nobody but the whales and die hards in the handfuls left. Maybe that's what some of you guys want. It sure seems to be what PWE wants. W i l d s t a r releases a changed F2P format aimed at getting people back into the game, Guild Wars 2 's first expansion (Heart of Thorns) which looks awesome will be releasing soon and there are others further down the road. I've come to face the obvious, this game's path was already decided when PWE took it from Atari as PWE is where games go to get squeezed for cash and then die. Call me names if you want, but it's the cold hard truth.
I disagree with your whale assessment. Based on what I have seen here, I think there are a few whales, but most of us do not have maxed-out characters, as typical for the whales. Anyway, that's not really the main point of your discussion . . .
The only issue I listed as "minor" is the increased xp required to level. Call it what you want, but to me this is not a big issue. This is my opinion - feel free to disagree (as several here have already done), but my opinion will not change. I don't have the time to get into an analysis/debate with all who disagree with my opinion in this matter.
However, issues like (1) the massive amount of RP required to level artifact gear, (2) numerous game bugs that have been around across several mod releases, (3) failure to return the deleted dungeons, (4) "and so much more" are bigger issues. I'd try to compile a list if I had more time, but I know the list is huge!
In the end, I am becoming more aggravated as time goes on. I am feeling more and more disappointed about the money and time I have already spent on this game.
This game has such AMAZING potential that is not being properly addressed. And, again, I blame company management, just not sure where those "poor management" pieces are located without knowledge of the inner workings and hierarchy of PWE and Cryptic, nor the level of influence/control of all associated organizations (Hasbro, WotC, etc.).

They will not reduce the amount of EXP needed to level up , it is a good guess that they raised it the same week that this was added to the zen store for a good reason , i.e you want to level up quick then in their eyes you will pay for the privilege which in all honesty is completely fair IMHO
New and Improved XP Boosts available in the Zen Market.
... and don't forget, that they also deleted all the saved up bonus xp from invoking too.
Well, perhaps many of us are all wrong, and people want to throw their money out of the window to level up faster again, or some might even enjoy to grind through those boring vigilance quests in the module 6 areas for a bit more xp.

I don't want to level up quick. I want to level up at a reasonable pace like I could do for the entire length of he game up until Thursday's patch. For clarity, spending 18 hours grinding mind-numbing content to go up one poxy level is not reasonable.
Furthermore, I will NOT be bounced into spending cash by reductions to QoL. Games that have played that trick on me before have lost my custom. For good.
Just went in game to check some numbers now that double XP has ended. I need a further 562k XP to finish levelling 69-70. For reference, that equates to running Nimbus Tower 38 times.
Anyone want to claim that's in any way shape or form reasonable? You could literally hit SpinRise at L69 and still not be L70 by the time you got your mainhand.

Broken.
We all know how its going to get fixed. Those 16 vig task per zone will be increased to 32 or more and presto all fixed. LOL,

And just wondering, what is the point of having

if they just ignore most of the feedback anyway?
I assume it is to keep track of who not to listen to and as a smokescreen to make it seem like they listen to us.
