How long will double RP event last?

As the title says. Will it be just 1 day or 1 week until next patch? Perhaps we can get some more info from our CM if they're still around.

    we dont know but honestly i assume it will lest over the weekend.

    When they say more info to come, do they mean next week after the listed date has come and gone?

    Usually more info to come, implies just that, more info, in a reasonable time frame in advance of the said event.

    Yeah, I was reading that "more info to come" statement and then thinking, "Hmm, this is Wednesday and the event occurs Thursday (tomorrow)."

    Nothing like waiting until the last minute for details, eh? :)

    I think maybe they're lagging with the info?

    it's like the pvp surprise they told us we were gonna get a long time ago, and I'd think it's this NCL that we just got now

    ...and no 2xrp, suprised? not really, always issues with getting 2xrp started, emergency maintenance please :-)

    2xRP will only be implemented after maintenance as is generally the case.

    Isn't it supposed to start on Thursday? Don't they usually start events at 10 am PDT?

    No, that's the trick with PW. Some things start at midnight local to the player, some things start at 3am PDT (game day reset), some things require a maintenance to turn off/on. As previously noted "More information on this at a later date" was the only clue we were given. The event is not in the calendar. It's now:

    6/25 1739 local - So the day is almost gone local time
    6/25 0339 PDT - game day has refreshed

    That leaves after the maintenance. Which mean if this 2xrp event is only one day, we will have missed at least a fourth of the day already.

    In any case, communication is lacking, expectations are unclear, and I logged in for no reason... again

    My guess is that 2x RP isn't happening today. This was either a) an error or b) a way to entice AD out of players and into the economy. They will apologize and have a 2x RP in a couple of weeks. The lack of communication about this on the forums or in the news section distinctly points to no 2x RP. I hope I'm wrong though.

    Thanks! I hope it is actually 2x RP when refining as opposed to 2x RP drops.

    If someone from PW reads this, NOW would be the time to give us the 'further notice' you promised. Otherwise we will see whats happened in game.

    BTW a 'Oh, we messed this up' before the server goes live would cause less harm, then thousands of players logging in with a 'WTF, they messes it up again'-expirience.

    So, in all this time during the maintenance, they couldn't take 5 minutes to put up a post regarding 2x?

    Very poor time management and communication skills.

    I assume, that the Mods dont know more than us and the lack of response is due to the fact, that there is a lack of information inside of PW and the Mods/ CM would prefer to have definitiv informations, that they can communicate, if need arises.

    The Mods work for free trying to help us and PE and have to feel the wrath of the community for failures, that they cant fix. I sometimes feel sorry for them.

    The community manager works for Cryptic. The servers have been down for about 6 hours, I think they could have made 1 or 2 phone calls in that time to provide the updated information. Someone from Cryptic put it in the news item, so clearly it came from somewhere. It should not be a huge endeavor to provide an update on it at this point in time.

    I am hoping it will be for an extended period, over the weekend at least given that the maintenence has been extended after already being extended and many of us won't have a chance to play now until tomorrow. I really hope it isnt just until end of day server time, thats 11am tomorrow for me, when I shall be in work. I've been collecting items for RP since they anounced a double RP event... Hope i have the chance to take advantage of it

    if it lasts until midnight we got a very very very small window to log in since they extended maint for so long. Who knows if the server will ever be up with how unpredictable they are with maint (seems like every other week they have a problem with the patch and stuff, could be just bad luck or could be other stuff).
