And that's it for me. It seems all and sundry are keen to label almost everything and anything as an exploit. We need to focus on the big stuff, where folks can generate infinite AD or loot. Those are the ones that affect the game and everyone in it. The ones where people find ways to reach a boss quicker or bypass bits of dungeons, well, should we really care??? It really doesn't matter that much. All games have glitches, bots, gold spammers and stuff and there will always be players finding creative ways to tackle a boss/dungeon/whatever. I've even seen the Tiamat "Zerg" called out as an exploit. That's not an exploit, that's just players gravitating towards the most effective way of getting the job done and the same thing is currently happening with IWD HEs. Just players, playing.
I agree there is certain degree of "noise " also come to exploits ..and legit play that other don't realize can sometimes get scream exploit , which is not true
But! That's a big but
U cant comment in exploit thread that we all know that there are plenty of real exploits , and make it look like there are no exploits and everything done legit and we don't get it ...
That's not true .. This thread is about the real exploits and best strategy of handling exploits and how the strategy should be implanted
That's it .. Start saying what is exploit and what is not... not part of this thread ..
And don't get me wrong
It should be public discussion what is exploit and what is not, as I said earlier .. But it need to be in approved sub forum with the corporation of the devs so they can answer and confirm and work with the legit community to minimize them
I think the problem is someone needs to read the developers the riot act. The code and testing has been SHODDY at best. Why criticize the player base for something that is ultimately the fault of the development team. Their focus is just wrong and they are running around like chickens without a head.
Not my job to defend the Devs, but truth is truth.
If i may come with real life law example. Since i worked for years in that branch i know, that your statement is not valid.
Example follows with a bit of law specific language.
If somebody leaves a bit of money inside his garden, which has no fence at all, but you know, it's his garden, cause you see a house and some corner stones in front of it, then it's not your duty to decide, whether the person left his money intentionally for the taking (dereliction) or unintentionally (fell out of his pocket) there and you aren't allowed to take advantage of it.
So as Ambisinisterr wrote it, if something feels "too good to be true", than either better use caution, ask if it's WAI or leave it.
As in RL in an MMO, it's not up to the individual to relief himself with some other relating stuff from an exploit.
To get down to earth, if you see a dragon 1 shot, you know, it's an exploit, cause dragons can't be normally 1 shotted or if one changes a value in his/her ability scores, which is above the maximum allowed, he/she has to know, that he/she didn't just use a little back door, he/she exploited.

so I gonna give my "Mustard" to this thread
1. there are obviously exploit in this game cryptic knows about but takes time to fix, punishing all exploiter this game would make lots of guilds and player be banned , I think too many quitt already so cryptic doesn´t want to kick more ppl
2. No exploit details please.
3. lots of player get rich in game without exploits having armies of alts that invoke day and night, I don´t
4. No exploit details please.
5. lots of player go on preview server and check thing to come, resulting in selling rp or blue marks, and buying tons of epic marks before mod starts and much more (enchants), some do heavy miscalculations and waste tons of money
this is also an exploit of knowledge other players do not have, so go and join this preview server, noone is gonna ban you for abusing your knowledge, I don´t take part in this, since I can´t afford more time in this buggy game
6. Let's not go there.

1. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
2. Don't discuss exploit details.
3. not an exploit.
4. Not sure what this was meant to corrrelate to.
5. Not an exploit.
6. Let's remain civil. I really don't want those types of arguments to muddy this thread.
Again, exploiting is just a severe form of bug abuse. Using your knowledge of the game to make economic decisions or spending time leadership farming on alternate characters is completely within the rules and nowhere near the realm of the definition of exploiting.
I think you may have missed is point on this one. He's saying that there is no timing being given to people to do. That is to say, there doesn't appear to be any particular consequences being handed out, or at least, Cryptic is being.. well.. cryptic about it. IMO, given the very poor customer confidence level right now, they should be screaming from the rooftops what they're doing to combat this stuff. Not the details, but certainly anything they can show to us that proves they're serious would be a positive.

Indeed I didn't quite get to the last few words. I was in a rush.
If you only read the first 80% it changes the whole meaning.
But yes, I agree that they are too quiet about resolving exploits and punishing those who exploit.
That being said I brought up the suggestion of making some statement regarding exploiting with Andy last Friday due to all of the threads which had been being posted recently but other than the fact he agreed with the sentiment I can't say anything more.
And of course as I player I certainly prefer the perma-banhammer over the temporary one when it comes to exploiting. Even a loss of all wealth tends to be a nice punishment for abusing the system to gain wealth. But that's my view completely as a player.
I am not sure how #4 was an exploit discussion but I took your word for it.
I posed the question to the rest of the team but if you could I would appreciate a PM explaining it because quite honestly I could barely understand what was being said. It looked like nothing more than a loot list to me.
I would like to ask the Mods to close this thread!
I have opened it with good intentions, to bring the wheel in motion, to clean the infested game out, but as it seems, many only come here to troll this post. Many amongst them are seeing me as an avid enemy of their dirty playground.
Sadly all of you defend them, cause they are some "big fish" here.
The thread has become useless.
Fine place, i must say, not the Royal Albert Hall for sure!
