So I'm having a thought that I might want to switch from Seldarine to Lostmauth. I was thinking even if they nerf Lostmauth down to doing weapon damage with no additional buffs, that's still a fair chunk, and combined with the pure offensive brawn it offers, it would probably allow me to switch from Vorpal to Lifedrinker without a huge amount of damage lost. It might even be an offensive gain, combined with say... a transcendent lifedrinker which gives you +30% damage as necrotic.

So you have potentially more damage from all the power, crit chance, armor pen, additional weapon damage and additional necrotic, plus more chance at healing yourself for greater numbers with the combo of Lostmauth and Lifedrinker.

Or, really good damage from vorpal and fairly consistent small heals and an AC and Deflect boost from the Seldarine set, that when combined perfect barkshield can negate the first few attacks from trash mobs altogether.

Thoughts, fellow Danger Rangers?

I run Vorpal + Lostmauth with very low defensive status and i can do all solos without die as a trapper. I think you should try go less defensive, it works very well.

Btw Lostmauth dont add much dmg to HRs since it only proc on the first tick of the powers, while for the other classes it procs on all ticks.

Indeed. They nailed HRs with Lostmauth set fix. I read it adds about 10% damage for us as opposed to 30% for some other classes. Also I like to optimise my HR and using the Golden Belt of Puissance (Dex/Str) is hardly doing that. Also with our gear normally loaded with ArP I'd also be swimming in ArP if I chose Lostmauth set.

I use Seldarine set on my Combat HR and even though the Companion Influence stat (wish they'd change it to something useful for a set artifact) does nothing for me as it's my pvp toon the stats and effect is more beneficial to me.

My Archer has the Lathander's Cloak and Belt (need the Eye) which also suits my build more than Lostmauth set. Also I don't think offense is the way to go in this Mod, I switched out all my boons to defensive ones again because things hit so hard now.
    Our pain is self chosen.

Running Lathander on my Archer too...and I need the Eye as well. See ya in the Dread Ring!!
