Cuz they sure don't seem to make a BIT of difference. Currently GF is at 12k/5k. Tried running Cragmire with him for the first time tonight- WHAT a fu***ng joke. Seriously. Do we need to be at 20k/10k on the curve before we can survive getting one shotted by even under-mobs? Couldn't drop shield for even a second to use encounter powers without getting hit for a Soulforge pop. Just a matter of the stats simply not being high enough? I'm having a hard time buying that.

No, you can't. Encounters can work from maximum allowed distance (Flourish, Bull Charge) if timed properly and only if just one mob sits on you. To activate ET/IW/ITF you need keep distance, still risky if you have KV active or archers/spiders around.
Use short period of immunity granted by Steel Defense feat after daily. Good thing while activating Crescendo or FR you rarely being killed, though that $ hit happens too. Once daily performed, you have very short time for mark, application of tide debuff and encounter. Defense/deflection stats won't help much alone.

well the most important once you get aggro is the controler to control fast. COntrol helps to keep spam aggro. IS all about teamwork as vanguard i dont have problems if the wizard control fast the mobs. I Have noticed i am able to block a lot attacks even hit me 4-5 mobs same time and if not when cw freeze the mobs i cast figthers recovery and i get back my life with aggregrative strike + guarded assault feat.
for all the think there's a problem with shield i can tell u for sure, there is not only with shield but with defense/DR it self, there's a bug in the game that every few sec makes u take dmg like u have no DR or even negative DR, it happen in all epic dungeons and several time, dieing resolve it for a few min and them its back, that the main reason parties fail so often in dungeons.

Honestly, this is very true and something the CW community needs to realize. Currently the majority of CWs still run DPS renegades or thaumaturges, when I think it's time to put that aside, start slotting only control powers, go oppressor tree, and focus more on control and debuffing than just DPS. Leave the DPS to all the strikers, there are more than enough.

It's broke. The T2s are one-shot ally if you're crazy enough to do what the tank is supposed to do and pull agro.
I do OK on my Dwarven IV GF with the following in eCC. Lunging Strike and Bull Charge seem to help me with time to pop a fighter recovery daily with thier 50% redux and the knock-away of BC. I no longer use enforced threat to gather everyone but I do use threatening rush to gather most and double mark the most dangerous foe. My Armor penetration is currently 50% and I am still working toward 60% to keep the boss looking my way as I poke them in the groin. You have to know your party members powers and be able to read the mob and reposition if needed. If your TR dropped a smoke bomb or your CW has frozen your target drop shield and recharge guard or gather that stray. Also a well placed bull charge wil get you out of trouble to recharge guard if needed with the few seconds it might take for your marked foes to come to you. You have to have at least one heavy damage dealer in the party or life kind of sucks with your guard/stamina meter worries.
