I'm seeing so many hardcore (if you can call PVP in this game "hardcore") PVPr's leave in droves right now, it's a little unnerving. With ESO coming out in a matter of weeks, we'll certainly see another drop. I personally didn't enjoy ESO's PVP too much, but it will probably pull a lot of Xbox people in for a while, and hey it may be a better game now, we'll see.
I don't know about a lot of you, but the IWD/GG/PVP campaign update would make me a very happy camper. If we don't see this soon, or at least an update on when we might get it, then I don't see the somewhat active PVP community staying around much longer.
TLDR: I'd love to hear some sort of content roadmap for PVP and the game in general.
EDIT: Couldn't change title, but should've said PVP campaign.

ESO pvp is horrible, the pve is great though, but i dont like pve I played eso like 3 weeks and quit, the game is a fail. but yeah, we need more content here
I didn't like it either after about a month of investment. It's not bad until you see how hollow it is at the end, plus the PVP was more unbalanced than this game.
IDK, I would just like to see this game do well, and from a PVP standpoint that IWD/GG/Campaign update would literally save it for me and a ton of other people.

It'll come eventually man.
I played since beta, for 2 years on PC. I used to get so frustrated about things we as a PvP community were asking for. Obvious things like:DR on CC, more PvP maps, different PvP stayles(death match, king of the hill, capture the flag etc). It never came and my love for the game turned into hatred towards the Devs. Eventually causing me to quit.
NW is a great game, but like any game it has flaws. I started fresh on Xbox 1 against my better judgment and now I'm having a blast. I'm not worried about changes anymore and just play because I enjoy it. I welcome any changes they introduce and of course look forward to more. I'm definitely not going to lose any sleep over it though.
Yah I'm sure we will lose people to ESO. But a lot of them will be back. The PvE is great until you get max lvl, then its the snooze fest zerging PvP. I quit in 3 weeks, like thousands of others did.

I still have my ESO account... Vr 5 dragon knight in ebonheart pact...game is beatiful to look at... Combat is nowhere near as inticing ad neverwinter however... Also of you prefer pve... You'll def like ESO.... however... If you like structured small scale instanced pvp... You will quit eso within your first week.... Eso does not offer any kind of pvp like that... They offer one huge open world map (cyrodil) which is constantly contested by zergs( hundreads) of players within their faction( 3 factions in game) it is a comete zerg/lag fest... And they have absolutely no plans of ever introducing any kind of small scale instanced arena/battleground etc... Google it if you dont believe me... There's a teason why the game flopped so hard within the first month of its release...
Again... If you enjoy solely PVE... U might enjoy ESO... However as far as strict pvp content... U will be heartbroken...

That's a bummer. I was looking forward to being a Werewolf tank or some fun nonsense. Can't if it's just a zerg fest =(.
If you have a group of good players, the tactics involved with sieging, counter offensives, and 3 faction zerg is entertaining.
It is def a group pvp game though, don't plan too much on being a solo HAMSTER. And until they get a real VOIP over to Xbox, I personally don't think it will be as organized as it should be.
Well with the release of Rise of Tiamat, looks like it will be months before anything new is added to PVP. Looks like a decent break from the game is in order.

I think someone already tried that. Honestly, like 90 percent of the PVP people I know are dropping this for ESO until we get GG/IWD/PVP Campaign.
As much as I thought ESO was hollow and boring in PVP (at least compared to GW2, which was the other option and obvious choice if you like pvp), looks like I might be getting it just to play with friends.

This makes me sad. I do enjoy playing vs the few pvp guilds in pugs/premade matches... I was watching some video of ESO pvp and it looks.. like wtf? The game itself looks kinda bland. First person view? eh
edit ok been watching a bit more gameplay footage and I am intrigued. I'm kinda really into the fact that it's not a p2w **** fest that will rerape my credit card like this game has, lol

Here's a video of me playing my Sorceress when it released on ESO. Nothing special, just lvling up.
The end of the video is the Molag Bal kill though so if you don't want to ruin the end boss fight don't watch the last part.
The gameplay was really fun lvling up. I quit within 3 weeks of playing though. There is no end game and the PvP is lackluster and not fast paced at all in my opinion.
The theme that keeps recurring over and over again in these forums is that 1) people love this game, 2) people can't stand the bugs, and 3) there is soooo much untapped potential here. Cryptic really scored a coup being the first MMO on XboxOne but for whatever reason seem to be missing out on the chance to run away with the market. At least so far.
And it's weird because they get the big picture. Here's a snippet from the 2014 Annual report from their Chinese parent company Perfect World:
"Our future operating results will depend on [...] our ability to timely upgrade and improve our existing games to extend their life spans and to maintain their competitive positions in the online game market."
This is not meant as a "sky is falling" type post in any way. It is just very curious to me how they have managed the launch of this game (especially the communication). Would love to be a fly on the wall in their internal meetings. There are a lot of things that don't make a lot of sense to an outsider's perspective.

on pc my old GM of my first guild once said something I agree. They accidentally made a game with a great combat system for PvP but they have no idea what to do with this. There is so much potential to explore on pvp, new arenas, duels, guild versus guild, rankings, death match, free-for-all, etc, so much possibilities. yet... idk what they doing. i think it is because the devs prioritize pve, and they make the balances based on pve which doesnt always reflect well on pvp. Also, i feel they have no clue how to play pvp. all the times they played us on PC they got crushed...

Ha, that's pretty brilliant.
Still, I get it for the PC version. But it's been a while, no? And a console launch is a huge opportunity to revitalize the franchise and crack open a whole new market. It's like there is no vision or ambition with this port. They are kind of sleepwalking through a chance to do something so much bigger and better.

indeed. but it is a problem when they are just copying and paste things from PC here...
for example. they fixed tr SoD and dazed duration right before release mod 6, yet they released mod 5 with the problem instead of already fixed.
The untapped potential is what kills me. I want to play this game and this game only for my PVP MMO fix (at least till the GW2 expac), but we're gonna need more PVP content besides two maps and one game mode. (imbalances aside)
