Draconic gear & Draconic greaves (salvage or AH)?

Two days ago I was surprised to see a pair of Draconic Greaves drop from Vilithrax in Whispering Caverns. It was late so they got left in my inventory and I went to bed with a smile on my face.

And then yesterday, since when I logged back in I was already in the caverns, I took those dailies first and a second pair dropped from Vilithrax.

I started doing some research on them yesterday but couldn't find anything definitive on how good they actually are. The stat details aren't even fully filled in on the neverwinter wiki site. Most people (including those on this forum) seem to advocate continuing to use High Prophet T1 equipment all the way through to end game (due to the uber set bonus), keeping higher level items purely to boost gear score.

So is Draconic gear worth keeping? I was wondering whether I could enchant / gem it specifically for solo-ing and keep High Prophet for dungeons? Or am I over-thinking it?

My cleric still wear Draconic full set (not the Templar version, but the original) - I love the Set Bonus. However that drop is a boo-boo; it wasn't supposed to happen as all the old epic gear is being removed from the game.

    Here's the thing though:

It's worth a lot of people who want nostalgic collections.
But not worth as much as before because it's basically useless in 60+ levels.
Also loses value unless the whole set is available.
But possibly worth more in AH than salvaging.

If I were in your shoes I'd try the AH first. Look for the same Draconic gear for other classes to get a base-value then price it from there. If you can;t find any then you'll have to wing it. I'd probably start at 500k just to see how things go, put it on a 5 day auction with a start bid of 250k.

If no sale after five days then I'd seriously consider just salvaging to be truthful about it.

    500K, not a good idea.

Xbox forum. Draconic greaves go for 20K to 30K and are supposed to drop.

XBox is a different monster. They're whining when AD/Zen rate hits 350/1. Also, note the part about where I said they are not supposed to be available anymore. Hence: supply/demand: less supply = higher demand as a general rule. So it doesn't hurt to try it. Or one could just salvage for a total of about 10k - which is too close to 20k to even be worth the trouble of listing it in the AH. May as well go for the big guns.

    I looked on AH.

There were about 40 Draconic Greaves for sale. Most without buyouts. Some bids as low as 1.5k, some as high as 250k. There were a few buyouts on there for around 30k. I put mine on for 25 and they sold within an hour.

Right now there is not a supply problem. Perhaps there will be when they stop dropping, in which case the sensible approach might have been to hang on to them. Too late for that now.

Yes, it is. Context, that is.

This IS the Xbox forum. You are replying to people with questions about the Xbox version of the game. Draconic gear does drop and will for quite some time to come and the prices will be lower due to a continuing supply.

    Shight-fire, you are ~correct~ LOL

    I stand corrected. Well-played, sir, well-played. :)

(I so dislike the way they've mashed the Xbox and PC forums together the way they have. I understand why they did it, just wish there were a better way. And I *do* try to stay out of the Xbox forums so I can minimize mistakes like this one.) :\
