Q RE: single purchase companions

Ok say you have a zen paid for single purchase companion bound to a character. If you want to delete said character, is there any way to unbind the companion or pick it up again on another one of your characters? Seems a shame to throw 20 bucks away. My wife asked me this the other night and it made me wonder as I was not 100% sure.

They will want you to pay for another character slot, so no there is no way to unbind the companion
PLEASE excuse me if I seem off-topic with this here but I've been reading this forum for months yet I'm unable to open a new thread for my latest issue! All my hails to fix this have been in vain!
Can an accidentally deleted 1st companion be recovered?
I just made level 17 (somehow!) and just trekked over to the Emporium Hall quest to fetch my 1st companion -- and clumsily deleted my fresh Man at Arms from the inventory window!
Is there anyway to get him back since he's my very 1st intro companion? I can't access the PerfectWorld forum on this because it always seems to be closed!
Neverwinter is only my 3rd MMO behind Royal Quest and Eldevin and I'm still trying to break level 25 with them!
Would so appreciate any help!

You cannot get that one back but you can buy the same one (Man at Arms) with copper/gold. You can buy other companion if you want to. The first one is free. The next one needs gold/silver/copper.
In fact, you can buy companion before you have your first free one.
Only thing is -- I've never made it to getting any gold! I've only made it to having around 20 silver before I have to spend on potions just to survive!
It so amazes me to see all these real low level players toting around so much gold coins! I wish!!!
