What a completely screwed up system. (Angry Rant)

Im a DC, and a pretty darn good one for my gear score. I have a bit of t2, only 3 pieces.

Im in Caverns of Karrundax. Everything is going smoothly. Nobody's talking so i figure they're in an xbox party. Yep they were, boss is at 5% and i get vote kicked. Guess they didn't want me bidding on the cleric gear.

The loot System is fine. But Vote kicking during a BOSS fight? Seriously? I spent AN HOUR.
I should have known better. i mean i came into otherwise full group. But because their friend sucks, i was /gimpkicked so their cleric friend could get gear. because he sucks so bad they couldnt finish with him, they needed me.

Thats what im calling it. /Gimpkicking, because thats the only way ^%$%^ gimps can get gear. No no, forget trying. We'll get someone who knows how to play their class, then kick him at the last minute. Hell id have said screw it, take the item, ill pass, least i can get my chest. NOPE. **** this ****.

No matter how butt hurt i have been in the past, ive never really wanted to ragequit a game, but this has happened to me FOUR times in the last WEEK. Thats complete bull****.

I work a full time, nd a part time Job. Its not like i can sit and play all day long. My time is precious. I have bills to pay. I dropped 60 bucks into the game, cause thats what i pay for a new game, 60 bucks. And i can spend an hour doing a t2 and get kicked 20 seconds away from my chest. Cmon guys, dont you think thats stupid?

I agree votekicking is a problem, but after getting kicked once I would make it a point to at least team up with and party invite two others before doing a dungeon dive. Ran a T2 a few days ago with randoms who did a dragon with me, we all had a mic and decided to do a run.

Not saying what happened to you is okay, saying you running in a pug and having zero communication with them are you even surprized at all?

Guys you are just reliving the same mistakes NW had in PC version. Apparently the vote kicking in PC was corrected by making the loot drop individually, if it drops at all of course. So no reason to get kicked by a band of 3 or more egoistic brats. It seems the necessary coding couldnt fit the xbox in time so now you have to go through the same uberflawed system for quite some time. A mistake done twice is no longer a mistake, to my knowledge.

I had the displeasure of meeting some of the PC people that play on the console side. I thought the console fans were toxic....golly I was wrong. Going forward, to any pc person who is nice and relaxed, hats off to you. But these guys told me alot of the PC players they know are kicking people because NW shouldn't be on console as consoles shouldn't have any MMOs. The main guy said he kicks hundreds of people at the last boss, as how this game is and the forums rants about it, he may have been understating his numbers. His reasoning to the reasons he kicks

1.) Same class. Noone should get gear over a PC player as they have already put time and money into it.
2.) Not playing with the same skills as the average PC players because the game was there first and they obviously know the best setups (not going to acknowledge the fact we are on diff mode anyway....)
    3.) Because its funny
4.) Lastly he and his friends hassle so many people so NW will not be successful due to unhappy fan base and the company goes back to focusing all their time on PC which isn't that fun anymore

These were a PC players reasons. Granted, I do not know if he played PC. But with his knowledge I assume he did. This is sad, this is the kind of mindset that flourishes with systems like these in place. Trolls grow stronger, the fans who really want to play start to lose interest. To any PC player like this, and if the person himself is reading this, WTF. No excuse to be such a HAMSTER. You should be happy the game is getting played by other people. Should be helping out instead of hurting the game with your toxic mindset.

Well you can complain all you want, they wont care! The "great" developers of this game will only listen yo you if you say you're going to get another game and they gonna delete your comment! And they're so quick about it, but hey I already preordered it so bye bye incompetents.

I'm from the PC version and I would like to apologize for the immature dealings you witnessed with these jerks. I always hated the idea of kicking people regardless of their class. It all can be done just some will take longer but the end is just the same. However, I did have issues with players that really didn't know their roles. Just because your level 60 doesn't mean you are ready for what Valindra throws at you.
What really sucks is that the new players to NW see this "/gimpkicking or /booting at the start and think its a norm and do that when they make a party. A vicious cycle. These "PC players" are a virus that flocked to the xbox. If they think PC players have the right to get these items first, they shouldve stayed on the PC. I honestly think these bullies were the victims of "small fish in a big pond" on the PC and thought they can be the big bad divas on the xbox.
So, with that said, I don't boot people because of their class, i just want to get my chest. hit me up when you feel frustrated and let's go get wiped on Karrundax, lol

i just join and expect to get kicked now. Every group tho when i dont get kicked, end up cycling other players. Im constantly voting against the kick (its to the point now where i refuse to vote to kick for any reason) but it always succeeds.
Drives me nuts cause i figure if we have 2 clerics then we CANT lose, and id rather complete the dungeon then try and get that additional maybe armor.
Your example is of some jerk, as much as i want to wait 15 minutes to kick 20 people, i really just want a dead boss lol, i really hope he wasnt an example of the general populace

Kicking during or after the final boss fight has been something we have pushed about for a long time on the PC version. I'll just keep pushing.

However it will get better in time regardless just as it did for the PC version especially after communities were formed.

As to the behavior experienced by "PC Players" I wouldn't be surprised if those were a bunch of kids trying to find an excuse to act like immature brats. Most PC Players hate being kicked as much as you do so over time the horrible behavior lessened as the immature me-too crowd left.

    ^This

We are coming into E3 season, so the immature idiots will be dazzled by another new game (probably ESO) and will move on.... Fingers crossed. People who are quitting now at this early stage are just plain silly.... In the end, this game is in it's infancy and can only get better (another fingers crossed).
That and it's a refreshing change to have something other than FPS dominate consoles

I was doing Cragmire Crypts last night, we all got to the boss then vote kick came up! I said no but they got kicked! A few minutes later I got a voice message calling us well you can imagine what he said! I sent him a game invite and a message to say I voted no but had no response yet. Thing is he wasnt the only one the kicker tried to get rid of but only succeeded with the first one!

Question - Why does it not show who the original start of the kick is? This way we could report that player for doing so.

I don't mind doing these easy low GS T1 dungeons for now but will be looking for a guild when I want to do harder ones simply so I dont get kicked and so I get the help I might need even thoguh I'm getting better with my HR

lol you really think console gamers will freely stop kicking at end boss on their own, you don't know console gamers at all add the real world based economy for stuff and its a total receipe for disaster. It will just get worse than it already is as even more people learn about it, it is already being done at rampant levels atm. Only way it gets sorted is if developers fix the exploit, it's not going to magically sort itself out and that's a terrible attitude to have.

Read the first paragraph. Additionally gamers are gamers regardless of which system they use and the worst of the lot is always the first to come and the first to go.

I never said it will be completely solved but it will get better in time on its own just as it did with the PC version as the most immature and self centered got bored and the long term player communities were formed.

I can't even count how many times I've been kicked now but I did have an unexpected occurrence this afternoon.

Got into Pirates lair with 4 guys from the same guild and one of them was also a TR. Figured I was a goner but play commenced. We cruised through it and thankfully they didn't run for the campfire after Bonegristle either. Kill the king and 2 TR items drop. All four of them passed on both items! Couldn't believe it. Sent a group text saying thanks and went on my way. So despite all the griefers there are still some cool people playing.

Unfortunately, I am avoiding the T1 and T2 dungeons due to this rampant kicking. I enjoy the game, but my time is precious. I cannot waste an hour just because someone wants a better chance at loot. I'm sorry but the answer to wait for a better community is not going to win over players. A better system needs to be implemented or at least tweaks.

The whole vote-kicking is a mess, no 2 ways about it.

I get sick of having to wait while the other 3 people are running the revolving door on slot 5 (yeah, yeah, my own fault for being a LVL 60 guild-less solo!). The one that baffles me even more though is when it is happening to other CWs. I don't give a **** about a 2nd CW in a team, it's unlikely I'm going to need to loot dropped for a CW anyway (complete T2 PVP with a blue artifact orb).

Revolving door on the 5th slot is annoying, and easily capable of increasing the time in a dungeon by as much as twice the norm, worst is when it is happening at the last boss (and completely f***ing stupid in the Dread Vault since it renders that one impossible to finish at all).

I'm not going to say remove vote-kick altogether, the gods know, there are times it is needed, but perhaps automatic disabling of vote-kick immediately after the last of the mini-bosses is down might be a good alternative.

I think vote kicking should be based on performance....if someone is not pulling their weight then people should be able to vote to kick....the vote for loot should be removed altogether....people should get their own drops that drop....besides i think the most annoying thing in this game isnt the vote kicking.....its the stupid drop vote that pops up in the middle of your screen when your fighting because we have idiots who can't wait to pick up stuff after the fight!!!! Or we have people who want to pick up every **** green item in the dungeon. I wish the would just remove the whole voting for loot altogether!!!!

I remember you actually thanked us at the end of the run for not kicking you... and you weren't the first to do so. You know there's a serious problem with the VTK system when people verbally express gratitude to people who are just being nice. Being nice should be the norm!

I m sure this system was made with the purpose of helping towards guilding up players but 2 years now it only managed to be the main reason of the drive away of at least half the playerbase this game could/should have. And it surely didnt drove away the "bad" ones. In my experience so far, the egoists/trolls/botters were freely given the opportunity to drive away at least 70-80% of the original playerbase.
Also for those who dont know, for over a year till launch there was NO votekicking, the leader could just kick ANYONE he wanted. Imagine the chaos we lived for over a year. Anyone who had the lead was like the party dictator. Imagine how many legitimate players who loved the game and spent SO MUCH TIME and money were literally stripped of their efforts so cheaply. How many of these people learned to HATE this game just by being exposed to this immensly provocative system? At least in xbox you started with the votekick, not so degrading as the "leader kicks all before boss dies" though its still a badly designed way to help people join a guild or make friends.

I was in Dread Vault last night there were 3 of us left fighting the boss as 2 of them died, one of the 2 who died must have got bored and we were taking a while killing it so decided to do a vote to kick the other who died, we voted no BUT I decided to do a stupid thing and message the group saying dont kick, guess what happened, I died while messaging! We then failed to kill it and had to start again but managed ok the 2nd time without anyone getting kicked!

The only advice I can give you on this topic is always keep a record of the names on your team that way if they do something dirty you will see them again someday and save your self some time and just leave there group at the start so they cant do that again. And always send out friend requests to all you team with that are good players so you can get together again with them.
