This topic comes up every few months since the very beginning. Official word has already been stated; paraphrased: if there's no money in it then it's not going to happen.
But there is money in it: sell an "effect remover" in the Zen Market, like the Dye Remover that simply reverts an item to its original look. A lot of people have said over and over and over again and again and again that they would buy it.
But alas: revenue generation is apparently lackluster in the Zen Market (or at least: not where they'd like to see it) because they simply refuse to take our word to heart; I've had more than [ridiculous amount of] Zen just sitting around because there is nothing more of interest to buy in the Zen Market (I can buy only so many mounts and companions and RP is way too expensive by the amount needed *per enchantment* so why bother?)
I've already said I'd buy "enchantment effect removers" and additional Fashion sets and Transmute packs (like the Bahamut pack) and so on and so forth.
Yet they still wonder why more Zen Market stuff isn't being sold as often as they'd like.
This is something we are tracking but do not currently have scheduled to be done. Seeing a wedding dress be torn to shreds by ice shards was one that made me laugh and grimace a little when I saw it. Bloodtheft is probably worse on that particular outfit though...
Wow, are you kidding me? I'm sorry, but I don't buy that story one bit from the producer. I'm no programmer, but honestly and seriously, I really really doubt that it takes much programming skills, to encode a DISABLE option on a visual effect of armor enchantments.... ! How hard, and how much time would it take to implement such a simple feature? Again, i'm not a programmer, but it really makes me scratch my head how they can not achieve this in 3 years of Neverwinter. SMH!!!!

Go figure.
In the past the games producer said he would really like the ability to hide gear enchantment but it isn't on the to-do list atm.
