Being Kicked from Epic Dungeons

Hi all,

I've tried 6 times now to do LOL and VT with my 70s. Doesn't seem to matter my item level or alt, I get through the door and within 30 seconds I kicked.

I'm assuming they don't think my alts are good enough to give them a chance to do the dungeon. I can understand they want the loot, but I can't get anyone to tell me way they kicked me. So I have no idea how to fix my alts so they are happy with them.

I'm not judging, I can see why kicking is done, but please can someone tell me what they look at before kicking so I can improve my alts so I can play too.

Create lightly dressed female chars and use pink dye, it works quite well.

Haha! Too true. Even though 75% of female characters are in reality played by males (notice, I didn't say "men"), they somehow think that every female character they meet is really played by a woman.

Not sure where the breakdown in that logic is, bit might as well put on some heels, flutter those eyelashes, and get your epics done! :-D

I met her in a club down in old Soho where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry cola...

Hehe. A (male) friend of mine always plays female toons because he "has to spend hours looking at the char's backside so it might as well be nice to look at". I find that a bit disturbing.

I have been in parties where the tank or healer had to leave before the end. Unfortunately the queue system does not always work properly to bring in another tank or healer, so I have seen where someone joined and was immediately kicked over and over again. It had nothing to do with IL, nothing to do with the person or their gear, it was a need to have a tank or healer.

I have also been in a dungeon as my OP Healer and reached the last boss just to be kicked (VT) because a healer wasn't needed they wanted to burn her down without messing with the caskets or bothering with heals, it sucks but such is the life of joining a pug.

As a healer, sometimes you can spam the que and keeping getting back in their instance just to vex them. I personally vote no for all unprovoked kicks / auto kicks because who is this other person thinking their time is more valuable and that they own this instance? Plus half the time the vote spammer is average or worse in skill and the others just blindly vote yes. You can turn the other cheek, but being a thorn in their side is so much more entertaining.

Pffft. Nothing disturbing about that because TRUTH! LOL

I have 15 slots, multiples of each class and about half of them are female sex. I did make a mistake with my Paladins, though: MY Epic Hulk Male version is a Devotion path and my Dainty Light-footed Female version is my Protection version. Somehow I can't wrap my mind around that, cliche's notwithstanding. Hahahahah! (I am older than 95% of all of you kids reading this; I'm set in my mental ways, so kwitcherbichen) ~wink~

@OP Kicking is a fact of life and there are way too many reasons, some mentioned above, others like Guild parties waiting for their mates, you're the wrong class, it's chest-loot-time, whatever.

And the comment above about being female toon in pink: it's a lot truer than people want to admit.

If I've had a nickel for every time I've heard that one.... :-)

Oh, man, thanks for the laugh! The sergeant major popped his head in my office door wondering about the strange out burst.
The fox said, "lock and load"

Most likely it's your class and thus not fixable.
Some folks have very fixed ideas about what a team needs and that doesn't usually include the majority of NW classes!
So they'll just kick you and keep kicking until the "right" class turns up.

Or maybe you are just ugly.... ;p

To be clear I've tried with SEVERAL different classes and get the same result and this is not filling a space on a team needing a healer/tank this is at the very start of the dungeon. I think there must be more to this that just class.

...maybe you should start to use e-deodorant???

On a serious note: Join a guild or a channel, or try forming a party beforehand with friends and/or the LFG channel.

It seems PUG runs are abyssmal currently.

Most likely, you are in greens.

Buy items from the AH so you are in blues at least. Also, the next patch makes it a lot easier with campaign gear.
