Restoring Strike "Opinions"

I do love this encounter and I do not know how many times it has saved me and kept me alive, but I feel like its a bit under-powered in the healing department. It heals you based off of how much damage you dealt with it but sometimes you hit a 100k with it and it only heals you for a measly 10k-20k health. And if you are around 20% health left, well that really wont help that much. Not to mention tab works wonders but it breaks 20% of the time for me, so I rely a lot on my restoring strike.

I personally think this encounter needs to heal you based off what precentage of your health is missing so lets say you are missing 90% of your health it would heal you 45% of what you are missing.

What are others opinions on this encounter?

P.S. Give us more stamina or sprint deflection without feating into it ;D

Timing. I use after WMS and HD to max potential HP gain. Like IBS when and where to use it determines it's effectivenes. Solo this is a good combination. In party it works to mitigate the healer's cycle times and stay active long enough to DPS.

It saved me a couple times in spinward fighting giants, but the heal is rather underwhelming. It definitely needs to be adjusted. I took it off my bar for now since the heal is less than a potion.

Its not about the timing its just the actual heal itself that needs to be worked on a bit. Timing can be placed perfect but the heal is still not as effective that I would like. Ive talked with a few GWF ingame and they say the same things.

Dunno. the only thing I play that also has a self-heal of any signifigance if my GF and leaving your gaurd down long enough to use FR is kinda dicy. By comparison I rather like RS...

Waste of a slot, you die in 1 hit anyway.

One hits are one hits the only defence is to not get hit with them. But like 20k HP or so on an encounter with a short animation is actualy kind of nice for anything that is not a healer class. Compare it to say Oak Skin that does no damage and has a long cast time and only heals for a few thousand. Or like I said Fighter's recovery which can heal a lot more, is a daily, and has a cst time long enough that you may die before you actually get a chance to use it.....

Read the description of the encounter it already does heal based off the damage. But sometimes it does not calculate correctly. Hitting 200k=10k heal is not right lol.

Considering the fact that It's meant to be one of sentinels main skills going by the capstone , and the fact that intimidation is trash now. I feel it should be far more powerful when used by a sentinel. but still a viable sustain / solo based skill.

Increase its damage and make its heal severity 25% per rank. you could even add to the capstone a second " Restoring strike" charge or have it so sentinel capstone reduces all encounter cooldowns by 50% when you pop unstoppable (allowing you to spam unstoppable to have more restoring strike / damage) , This adds actual relevance to restoring strike being buffed by the sentinel capstone.

ANOTHER way too rework it as a more specialized feat is too drastically reduce its damage and cooldown to like 3 second CD, and damage down comparatively. then it becomes more of a Spammy Heal skill, which Synergises with the sentinel capstones 3 second HoT. means that while a sentinel is in combat. they are constantly healing and regenerating, but when stunned / proned / dazed. they still die.

Then again, until Intimidation is buffed / changed, sentinel is dead. I like the suggestion too make it into a bleed like Jagged blades, But then I feel people would almost always use DS over CAGI unless CAGI's dmg buff was really good.

There are so many different ways sentinel could be changed to become a more interesting and viable skill path.
People are way too negative, Why cant we just all get along.
