Warlock Curse getting cleansed?

I noticed a bug with the Warlock curse the other day while fighting Charthraxis in Neverdeath. Apparently another players ability (it came up as Cleanse on my UI, I dont know which class does it, or the actual name) was able to remove my curse buff that appeared under my health bar. (The buff that lets you know how many enemies have your curse on them)
I know that some of my abilities automatically remove my curse from an enemy, that's a given. But after a couple times of it randomly disappearing I did a little test: I popped my curse on Charthraxis and just sat there, and within seconds I was cleansed by another player and the buff disappeared.
Has this happened to anyone else? And is this working as intended?

Here is the description of Cleanse:
When you heal an ally you have a 10/20/30% chance of removing a negative effect from them.
You may not Re-Cleanse for 8 seconds.
It sounds like Cleanse is hitting enemies as well and removing negative effects. This sucks...
