Starting to lose some Motivation :/

So the last 3 days, (not so much today since i did a 3 mile hike with a group of people) i've been doing the Epic Frozen Heart Dungeon. I have my Helm and Armor of the Grand Warden so far. out of MANY tries, half including kicks, the other half successful runs, i have yet to get my boots.

today, however, on 2 occasions, i completed the dungeon up to the final boss with a group, and after the 2nd wipe, they kick me :/
this on top of still not getting the boots i want... really killed a lot of my motivation.

and no, i don't have enough AD to buy the boots and gauntlets off the AH.

guess this is where i ask if anyone would like to help me out. i'm a HR, archery hr, 10k gs if that matters to anyone. gamertag is AnewHALOspartan. message me a good time of when we can do the dungeon.

    My suggestion is try and find at least 2 friends to roll with. Doing that will give you control of the lobby.

    only, like, 2 friends play neverwinter. and they haven't played it in a while. sorry i forgot to mention that lol

    People like you kill the game. Not everyone has to have the same build. Otherwise it's just all the same every dungeon. Also "solo the dungeon" let's see you do it. Full video must be uploaded from start to finish, oh wait you can't solo the epic dungeons....

    I wasn't being serious about the solo part but really... would you rather do 10mil damage or 45mil?

    Archery is hands down the worst spec in the game and the least contributing to group success. Quit being stubborn.

    Sorry but if the ranger actually knows what he is doing then he can do much more damage. It all matters how they are built

    but... Melee HR's in PvE seems weaker... you almost never see them :/

    But seriously even if you don't take into account the damage increase, the simple added survivability that comes from trapper vs range archery is insane.

    To the OP in regards to trapper vs archer is say this. If your a trapper you dont need a complete set as royal guard buffs recovery and you have insta recovery so you don't need it. While grand warden buffs at wills wich you will never use. Pop in dragon gloves and boots and go kill everything.

    hes right archery does way more damage than trapper but it sucks in pvp for survivability. im from pc.

    NO it doesn't. Trapper is hands down the best hunter spec in mod 5 for pve and pvp.

    If RNG is getting the best of you, either A) you're new to MMOs/RPGs, in which case you should learn to get used to it or B) You expect to get what you want each time you run something.

    I ran my GWF through T2s Friday evening from 8pm to 3am. Guess what? No T2 gear. Ran more Saturday. Ran each one three times. Only piece to drop was my armor (chest piece) after the third TotSQ run. Ran more Sunday. Each dungeon was ran three more times. Got my arms off the drake in CoK on the last run. Last boss on Spellplague glitched each time, taking 15 minutes for the boss to pop back up out of the water each time it went under. Still no helm.

    Get used to kicking. It sucks, but it happens and it's going to continue to happen. If you don't have two other friends that can run with you to prevent a kick, then join a guild. A lot of people have said it and a lot of people think it's a cop out answer. It's not. Guild members or even just additional friends that play and group with you will make life easier.

    Another tip some guild members have suggested is queuing for the dungeon that drops your gear. If you spawn in and the group isn't at the last boss, drop out and queue again until you get a group that is and is willing to keep you.

    I'm archery, not trapper.. so royal guard isn't the set i plan to get. Grand Warden is the set my HR on PC has (and others on PC said that it was a set more HRs were aiming to wear, i forgot what gear i had prior, but i wasn't as strong before)

    No, i'm use to RNG. I played on PC for about a year or so before Xbox. (and i played destiny at one point, so i know that RNG is a real *****)
    and as far as guilds are concerned, i'm only hesitant because in the coming months i'll be playing a significant less amount of games before i ship off to bootcamp. and if i meet the requirements, my ship date could potentially be moved up. but i have received a couple messages about guilds so i'll keep communicating with them to see how they are.
    the kicking only gets annoying when it's half of the dungeon attempts i do. some people just assume you're not good, and even when one of our runs at the boss was almost successful with me vs messing up and dying because i forgot about revive sickness lol.

    I actually got into a dungeon the other night during a delve and it was at the end and the group had just killed the boss but hadn't picked up any loot. The boss dropped a piece of armor for a TR and I rolled need on it and got the armor. I then ran quickly to the chest and got my end dungeon items before getting kicked. No work and lots of great items, worked out really well that time.

    I understand how angry you are though. Last night I spent a whole delve trying to get into dungeons and then getting kicked. The only time I can manage to get through a whole dungeon is with friends so we can control the lobby.

    I do like that having friends or a guild allows for you to control the party. It's nice knowing that there is way to take control but you just need enough people online. However, something does need to be changed. The kick feature can't be disabled all together but some kind of code needs to be implemented that either keep a group from constantly kicking or at a certain point in the dungeon disable kicking but does not disable people from leaving or the game from filling empty spots.

    Saying join a guild or get friends shouldn't be an excuse though. There are plenty of people who have a lone wolf play style and it's not alright to try and force a different play style on those people. Not only that but the constant kicking can wear one down. Some of my friends have actually gotten irritated enough with the constant kicking to the point they close the game and play something else or just turn off the xbox all together.

    Overall though, I wish people would just use the chat function. I'd rather be asked to leave than constantly kicked, that'd be irritating but not nearly as much as getting kicked nonstop. The unfortunate part about that is many don't have keyboards and there are tons of kids floating around.

    Hey man, ooooo, I hated farming hrimnir. As a GWF I totally feel like the middle-red-headed step child sometimes. Just can't compete with the dps of the squishy types. I finally, FINALLY got my boots. but I can't get the arms or head for anything... sigh

    I'm working on a control wizard but if me and my guildies aren't doing anything and I'm not doing my dailies, I will totally help you. I think it's awesome you came to the forums looking for help. And if it goes well, maybe a guild invite too... but we don't just randomly invite people to our guild. We make sure we get to group up or chat on xbox live, keeps the riff raff out ;)

    Feel free to friend me at Rashenbo (gamertag) and send me an xbox message. If you send me a private tell while I'm in game it's totally possible that battle spam clears it before I even notice it.

    I'm a lone Ranger/Trickster player alternating between them and find the campaign quests tricky sometimes especially with the TR, the HR after some tips from peeps on here is now my fav class, I switch back and forth and do loads of damage, my GS is 9600 for my HR.

    I've been thinking of joining a guild but I have other family and friends on the XB1 (They used to play NW but not now, we had our guild of 5 peeps!) I party chat with them most so joining a guild would be a pain as I don't like the idea of cracking to peeps I don't know that well! Antisocial? Maybe!

    As for getting kicked, if its bothering you that much join a guild or atleast add some of the peeps on here, were all NW nuts and atleast if they do the dirty you can post their GT's on here so we can slate them!

    Just enjoy the game and don't let other numpties spoil it for you.

    One thing that bugs me is standing waiting for someone else whos about to do the campaign quest, I request them to join group or join their group and they just blank you! Maybe I'm just to fugly? Or what about when you die and request help and they just ride on by! I ALWAYS STOP AND HELP!

    I like these forums, NW wouldn't be as good for me if it wasn't for the help from you lot! I'm not an Mmo savvy player so need all the help I can get, theres always going to be complaints about certain issues but we need to remember that its just a month or so old, imagine it in 6 months!

    I will be honest though and say I'm sick of the game freezing when in mid fight only for the game to continue and I've been killed! Ah well such is life, I'm sure it will get better?

    I've loads of questions but will ask them some other time as its now NW time! Keep an eye out for me.

    UPDATE: i have finally got my Boots. i wont equip them just yet until i get my gauntlets. the (2/4) armor set bonus for the High Sentry set and Grand Warden set give me the same bonus so il let them currently stack
    (+450 Critical Strike)
