Augmented: Blue vs Purple

I was thinking of finally getting an augment pet, but the only one I can get is the cat, which is blue. (If there is any purple I don't know how to get it).

My question is, what is the difference in stats from a blue vs a purple augment companion with the same gear.

    The only epic augment worth anything is Chicken, it has a great active bonus but you probably can't afford that at the time. Choose between Cat or Stone of might/allure, depending on your runestone/slot needs. Any one of those is good, not much difference.
