Ok am I wrong or the supposedly Elven Battle gear obtained after impregnation is barely better than a t1 set?

If i look at my cleric, the elven battle gear stats are just giving me some 4-5k more HP total set... That wont save me from a one shot, i think we all agree on that.
Then maybe 700-800 more power. Wont make a big difference if i manage to upgrade some enchants or companions... But then i will lose crit for my BoH with this set. And then i dont need ArPen because im faithfull and thats a waste of stats. S
So what? Do i need glasses or...? People are farming +500k BI to get 5% more stats? Is it worth all that? So what makes the t2 worth running, aside the challenge of doing (finally) some hard content?
Im not sure about eCC being done Legit but eToS and GWD can be completed, so ya, aside the fact from saying "yay i complete etos finally", what am I missing?
