Guard Drake Mount Opinions

I've been itching to pick up a new mount and the guard drake has caught my eye. It's on sale this week and wanted to read opinions from others that own this mount and if it's worth picking up. Certainly one of the more pricey mounts from the zen store, even on sale.

    i want that mount also. but i wont pay to get it. its an amazing mount and all mounts act the same they just have different looks.

    Well, I was looking to purchase it through the AD exchange, not with my credit card.

    Wanted to know if there were any glitches with it, annoying sounds, poor riding animations, gets stuck in terrain, and so fourth.

    every mount gets stuck in terrain at some point. and the sounds part is all a matter of opinion. the riding animations seem fine to me from 3rd person (a friend of myne has one) try googling it on the pc side of things.

    I have it - what I enjoy about it is how freaky large it is. Super-size half-orc or Dragonborn even looks good on it.

    Thanks. I primarily play dragonborn now and thought it would be fitting. Don't see many players in game with it now.

    It also can be somewhat annoying in PvP as it blocks the view of the player behind you (me, e.g.), and due to its colour and size it is highly visible. Also, when ridden by Halflings both look ridiculous... ...otherwise, from what I hear, it's an OK mount.

    It's literally the most common mount in the entire game ZEN wise.

    There is that annoying bug that when you activate the idle (space) animation your movement is frozen in the animation period, even after dismount there is a slight delay before you start movement.

    Blue Ribbon Pig is the only worthy mount, its good looking and great emergency food! :)

    Oh and did I mention if you mount it behind your friend and hit the space button repeatly....

    I bought it, and it's the only one I use now. Everything else looks tiny compared to it. Yes, it looks amazing under a Dragonborn.

    I bought the drake mount when it initially came out. It is quite large, when compared to the others, but looks great and has a cool animation when you tap space. Below are some pics of my Dragonborn on his:

    I just saw the protector's jubilee on the calendar.. I remember there was a huge deep discount mount sale around that time period. Would it be wiser to wait?
