Hi, i have been playin for half a year almost now and quite enjoy this game a lot lol. But ever since mod 6 hit, i have played 80% less then what i used to... The main reason being dungeons not dropping loot for me to sell or a solid way of collecting rough ad. In the current dungeons you don't get any more epic loot to sell and i don't think you can even get gmop drops anymore! How am i supposed to upgrade my toon so i can play at those elite levels some people are already playing at? How can i get ad for enchant upgrades? I have noticed AD is scarce in the game and my progress in upgrading gear has SLOWED quite considerably after the mod 6 changes.
I suppose you could farm VT or eLOL in hopes of artifact drops but c'mon not everybody gets drops! maybe if they made the droprate higher then it would replace the old way of gathering ad we had.
Normally i would que up for Pirate king and get tons of loot and RELIABLY gather ad for things needed such as gear upgrades and such but now idk what to do :C. I'm sure plenty of other players feel this as well. Untill changes are made i guess i will just pvp or not play all together :'C.
Sign on. Use profession slots. Refine rough AD. Sign off.
Most of the time i just do that, do my prof, refine what little remains of my rough ad, and sign off to watch anime or somethin lol or pvp for a bit :S

sounds like a great idea. once i do my dailys this is what i do. and then once i have enough ad to buy what i want i will buy that item then play with it some then log off again.
Good points. Whenever people shout "BALANCE!" they almost always refer to combat damage in PvP or in PvE and all that stuff. But there also is general "game-play" balance and it has always been heavily unbalanced since Alpha days; not enough decent loot drops or ways to realistically and naturally upgrade your character in different ways.
In general play the player is at a massive disadvantage when it comes to linearly leveling-up (and I don't just mean XP points, but the whole character experience).
Comparing Neverwinter to Cryptic's other games: Star Trek Online and Champions Online clearly shows that Neverwinter is a far more difficult game to play with regard to rounding-out one's character toons evenly and linearly. Far more grinding and "special activity requirements" in neverwinter that don;t exist in the other games.
This has always been a silent gripe of mine. I just never bothered to actively voice it before because it's not going to change much if at all. Though it appears with planned "rare drops" in levels 61+ having Armor Enhancement slots and whatnot is a very slight swing toward the right direction it certainly doesn't go far enough.
...my secret conviction currently is that they moved AD earning (and RP earning) away from gameplay in an attempt to curtail botting. So, Professions for AD and golden Lair Chest for RP and gear (or tokens to buy the latter BoP from vendors) it be.
IMHO maybe effective at decimating the bots, but as a side effect, it also decimates the fun in the game, and thereby the playerbase. Which in the midterm future will ofc finally solve the botting problem completely - no players, no potential customers, no profit. None for Cryptic either. Oooops.

I do agree the game seems to have changed
That said, if we adapt the game can still be fun and is for me.
There are changes that must be made, for example, the ability for a random group to have a reasonable chance to run an epic DD and win
To have more realistic entrance criteria for entrance to said DDs
and give us the ability to earn at least as much AD as we can refine a day
I am sure there are others
But
I firmly believe that many of these things will be address in no small part by the efforts of this forum
