don't think it matters, I have never noticed a difference in loot between the 2 keys. I did however notice that I got better loot when dungeon delves is running. not sure if it actually matters though, just something that seemed to work better for me.
I'm not sure if using an Epic Key increases your odds or not, but I don't think so.
As for your odds, you have about a 10% chance, in general, of getting the set item named in the dungeon description from the chest. T1 dungeon chests can contain blue items, but T2 chests will always contain a purple... just not necessarily something you want. T2 dungeon chests also have a high percentage chance of containing T1 purple gear. I think it's about a 40%-50% chance of getting T1 stuff, so you'll likely be salvaging a lot of stuff before you get your whole matched set.
I believe Dungeon Delve chests actually do increase your odds, but I could be wrong about that.
guess i'm pretty lucky then, ran countless dungeons tring to get my HV set with no drops or in chest, decide to run them during dungeon delves and 3/3 runs netted me with boots, chest & helm for my HV set.
OK thanks guys!
Kind of surprised to hear that the chance of receiving a T2 set is kinda low... still manageable though.
Just gonna be a pain running Spider Temple over and over again - That boss is a pain!
Here's another tip from a friend. I haven't verified yet, but he's usually trustworthy...
If you open the chest and don't like what you see, just hit B and walk away and it won't use your key. Of course you miss out on salvage potential, but if you're short on keys/resources (and assuming this works), it seems like a good tip.
I can confirm this works. The key is only used if you actually take the loot within the chest. I do this with any dungeon that doesn't drop something worth the price of losing the key.

(Can anyone else confirm if this works?)
I can confirm this, I have done it with the free daily key and in the shores with my mystic dragon keys multiple times a day.
