In my opinion, I think most players are missing the mark on the dungeon queue system. A lot of players seem to think the queue is broke, not working correctly, and needs to be fixed or removed. The truth is the dungeon queues system is working just as intended.
It has its functional part, to remove an AFK’er, or disconnected person, or an undesirable person.
However, it is also designed, in a way, to take a solo player and convert them into a group player. Just consider this. A solo player tries to PUG dungeons and goes through all the horror stories you see posted on this board. Most responses to their posts are, “make friends”, or “join a guild” and problem solved. This is exactly what the developers want. As a player makes friends, joins a guild, they become more invested in the game. The odds the player invests more time and money in the game increases dramatically once he has a consistent group of players he plays with. Why else has the PC side not seen a fix or change in years, because it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. The player that doesn’t go this route of joining a guild or friends and just gets feed up and leaves, well, that person was more likely not to invest much time or money anyways. There are always expectations to both sides, but this generally applies across the board.
I only pose this alternate, because if I were tasked with the job of finding a way of extending player investment and time, this is the approach I would take from psychological stand point. One of the best ways to steer a person or group in the direction you want them to go, is to do it with them knowing that’s what you’re doing. Everyone is so focused on the Queue system and they don’t even realize that making friends and joining a guild is exactly what they want you to do. It’s also what I recommend you do as well. If you really want to enjoy this game makes some friends, join a guild, and put this whole problem of the queue system to bed.
Once again, this is just my two cents from a different view of the queue system, take it as you please.
Good perspective...wish more players could see it that way.
The queue system isn't broke. There has to be a system in place so that if a party member leaves or is disconnected mid-dungeon another can be found to complete the group. There also has to be a kick system to remove problematic group members, or to fix when the queue brings in a wrong class/player then what is wanted by the group (i.e. duplicate classes, trying to reconnect to previous member who disconnected, etc.).
The real problem is the players and there is no fixing that without hurting the actual functionality of the system. People just need to learn to group with at least three friends or partner up with a guild like you said. If you play a MMO like a MMO...you won't have a bad time.

The queue is to quickly get into the action, who wants to spend an.hour prepping for a dungeon then.spend another hour going through it?
You have an ok point but in the end..the system needs fixing asap..top priority
