Ebon Downs Ancient Barrow Dungeon Quest Chest Doesn't Work?

Hi, been doing the dailies for HArpers in Ebon downs. When a group goes in Barrow Demolition quest and completes the dungeon there is a chest at the end by the portal exit, and it's supposed to light up so you can open it. But it does not light up, and you cannot open it. The entire quest is worthless since the only reason to do it is for the dragon sigil in that chest.

WTH is going on?

    Did you blow up the tunnel? You probably did ... just in case.

    EDIT: never mind. I did not notice you went in as a group.

    the problem is YOU didn't have the mission so you don't get the chest.

    the mission is from one of the guys under the tent. he doesn't look like he has a mission to give you, no question mark.. but if you click on all of them you will find that one of them will give you the missing mission.

    took me a couple of times to figure that out myself. its bug #99845894354 and it in the queue to be fixed i'm sure.

    let me guess, you're drunk? nothing you said is even accurate or true. of course i had the frikkin mission. why the hell would i do that dungeon and form a frikkin group for it if i didnt have the quest? THE ENTIRE FRIKKIN GROUP STOOD THERE LOOKING AT THE CHEST ASKING EACH OTHER WHY IT DOESNT OPEN....

    and this has happened two days in a row now.

    You enter enter these dungeons if any of your party members have a mission but you cant open the chest at the end if you dont have the mission. You should ask other people in your party if they got it. If they did, then you probably forgot to take the quest.

    LOL. why would i go do BARROW DEMOLITION and follow the little sparkly trail to the dungeon, than form a group and invite people, IF I DIDNT HAVE THE QUEST?

    think about that... would u ever do that? go to some zone without any quests than form a group for a quest you dont have?

    advice? didnt you read my posts? what clues should u have gotten that i indeed had the quest to do the Barrow Demolition?

    2. Post #4: i said I had the quest...I also said the ENTIRE GROUP could not open the chest.

    3. I also said elsewhere that I formed the group...

    Do think i am lying? Do you think I would form a group for Barrow Demolition if I didn't have the quest to do it? Do you think four other players would message saying i need BD let me join, if they didnt have the quest?

    this whole thing started with me, and others, offering you the same suggestion. that exact scenario has happened to a lot of us. i'm really starting to think your meds have wore off. i truly believe this thread is done. but if you want to keep rehashing it i've got all night. or until its locked because you were given an answer and you just don't want to believe you made a mistake.

    I must be missing something. It is Ebon Downs Ancient Barrow Dungeon. Why does it need a group? That should be solo or may be a group of 2 max. All my toon can solo it with pick up gears. Did they level up the foe in that dungeon in mod 6 too? Since it appears there are many going in as a group, this should not an isolated incidence.

    My Paladin can also solo it. I invite people because there are many low level characters that have trouble soloing stuff like this. Three of the players that joined my group were level 38-ish. And another was 70. It's also kinda fun to run something with a group to break the monotony of soloing.

    Same is true in Dread Ring and Sharandar. My toons can solo those dungeons, but I invite people before I enter, and they fill up fast.

    yes, the Barrows Demolition loot Chest is BUGGED on several occasions, me and many others have noticed this as well...and so are the chests in some other mini-dungeons...

    If indeed the chest is buggy, this is still the wrong sub-forum to report it in.
    Definitely not an Arc User.

    Kurtb88, not trying to get you all riled up again, but what the other people were trying to ask you is:


    a) Did you just get the Common Cause quest from Harper Broward in PE, which lists Barrow Demolition as part of the requirements?
    OR
    b) Did you get the quest "Barrow Demolition" from Preceptor Theraclast in PE, after picking up Common Cause from Harper Broward?

    Because if you only did a), you will not be able to open the chest.

    If you did b) and still couldn't open the chest, that is a bug. Bug-report it in game and in the correct forum.

    And any sub-60s who run the lair with you will never be able to open the chest, since the lair quests are for lvl 60+ players only who have taken the lair quest from the appropriate NPC in Protector's Enclave..

    All the harper dungeons have the new "you think you are 70 but you are not" mechanism. As people actually approach 70 they may start to solo or tag team it but in the meantime you need a group.
