This will kind of be a multi-part question, just trying to gather some information.
Is there a guesstimate to how much AD a gold is worth?
Is there any decent way of converting gold to AD?
If not, what can I do with gold? I have a fair amount (maybe 200 or so), and have no idea what to do with it!
Thanks in advance for your time!

Other than buying stuff from dummies and turning it into thousands of AD, you can still convert gold into AD with companions and mounts. It fluctuates, but right now you can get about 600-800 AD per gold.
What I do with my extra gold is share it with alternate characters. Gold matters more below level 30 and every little bit helps.
If it were me I'd buy stacks of potions/injury kits for my guildies or put them on the AH. I have a HR friend who always pugs and blows through HP potions like crazy, so he's always complaining about how he needs gold. Since I'm a Cleric and rarely use my pots unless I'm clearing harder content, I typically give him a stack or two every now and then. They seem to drop like crazy for me so just from looting alone I'm able to accumulate at least a half stack a day.
Not sure what the AH price is, but I'm sure there are plenty of players in my friend's situation who would rather buy cheap stacks with AD.
