MAJOR ACTION POINT JEWEL - unable to apply to rings

I created a major jewel (action point gain) and wanted to apply it to my new gear (greater belt of wisdom, greater lathander cloak adamant rings).

Once created i was not able to apply the major jewel to the rings.. no error message, just noting happened. I was able to apply it to the neck and belt.

    Happened to me too until i unequipped the ring. Once the ring was in my inventory, i was able to apply the action point jewel.

    I've seen this with several pieces of equipment where you had to put into inventory first before applying.
