Does 3k item level really exist??

I've been seeing people claiming they have 3k item level in PE while LFG. But I recently just inspected someone with epic alliance gear, legendary elemental weapons, legendary/mythic mod 6 artifacts and their item level is only 2.5k. So what's the deal? Does 3k ilvl really exist? I'd really like to see a screen shot of this to see if this is really true.

    Yes, 3k ilevel exists with legendary/mystic gear and r12s. Keep in mind that when you inspect someone, the item level you see is your own, not theirs.

    No problemo, I had with my GF protector 3.2 k.


    Hahahaha yes, forgot to mention about this bug.

    And you dont need r12, r9 is enough.

    See at the moment when you inspect someone else their item level displayed is ... your own.
    Its a bug and its not new and been reported quite some time before launch but.. guess what :)
    Leave it to your imagination.
    On a side not if you can rob a bank *pun intended* and afford to fork it out on R12 enchants you ilvl gonna go upupupupupup.

    You can see only your own Item Level when inspecting someone else.

    Were they socketed with all rank 12 enchants also?

    Something to consider is that the inspect tool often shows your own item level. Which I'm guessing is 2.5K. :)
    The right to command is earned through duty, the privilege of rank is service.

    Actually, I have 4k lvl. item lvl so yes, 3k lvl is obviously possible.

    as other mentioned, this isnt even BiS..

    2.5k is easily doable.
    3.k takes some of the dual rings to get and a couple legendary artifacts.

    3.5-4k is probably more in line with BiS honestly.

    My main toon is CW 3.3k ILS rank 8 mostly full set elemental (blue) alliance raid major armor reinforcements 3/4 peices. 3 legendary artifacts. I'm sure there are a lot more.

    Huh... Thanks for the clarification. Was getting discouraged that with the gear I've managed to upgrade to epic and I still get stuck in 2.5k and was wondering if getting it to 3k was even possible. Jeez this bug.

    Wow I thought 2.5K was a lot

    Still I can't run "Epic" DDs

    It's probably WAI, not a bug.

    The "exclusivity" of all those "lf2m PK 22k+" lfg spams apparently found negative resonance in dev circles. Hence GS was repainted and is to be called ILvl henceforth. The masking of ILvl on inspection would be well in line with that policy...

    I'm at 3,2k ilvl with only rank 7 enchants and purple sigils.

    I've got an item level of 2.7k currently, only a few point off 2.8k in fact and with no legendary gear thus far. I have 3/4 parts of the pvp set, epic level artifact belt, cloak and weapons, all artifacts filled and at epic level too. I use rank 8 enchantments mostly. What really gave me a boost though was armor reinforcement. I've only reinforced 2 pieces of my set so far and each time it boosted me almost 100 points in item level. With the final piece of the pvp gear and reinforcing the final 2 parts i'm sure i would be at 3k.

    So yes, possible, actually 3k+ is possible, if i could rank to legendary status on my stuff anyway :P

    I made the same mistake when I inspected someone in tiamat that had green gear, grey shirt and pants, and had an item level of over 3k lol

    The highest I've seen was a gwf who claimed 4.7. At first I thought it was some ******ed gwf math with gs but nope all mythics and 12s.

    Once I'm done farming the Lv 135 gear, I'll apply the reinforcement kits and my i.lvl will be 4900 which seems to be the maximum. I could have more now but there's no point adding these reinforcement kits to gear that I will change very soon.

    Yea, when you inspect someone you see your own gear level. I am currenty at 4008 TiL. Elemental Elven gear with reinforced kits. Epic arti gear, new rings, shirt and pants. Reinforced belt, neck and rings. All 4 mythic artifacts and mostly rank 9's except for 2 rank 11's. Max gear level is around 4600 with all BIS gear/enchants.

    lol 4600-4700 is max gear level with all rank 12's, legend arti gear, reinforced and mythic artifacts. 4720 to be exact.

    Yea, that is max gear level. I have seen a few people myself.

    No, you are wrong. I have 4534 + 6 (I have 3 lv 135 gear and 1 lv 137, 2 points for each new lv 137) + 120*3 360 (3 reinforcement kits, each one adds 120 item lvl) so the total is exactly 4900 as I said before.
