Turned out I have some parts of t1 and t2 Hunter Ranger gear for lvl 60 that I was collecting for my HR, (Grand Warden, Royal Guard, High Sentry, but not a whole set of something). Since he only got lvl 60 a few days ago (do not play this character very often), the equipment is still not bound and now I see that some of these parts are quite expensive. Is it worth it to keep these parts for myself, considering I'd be able to get lvl 70 pretty soon with or without x2 experience event and probably even buy blue epic equipment for seals bound to account, by my main character? Or should just sell it?
The items are very expensive now because they are now unobtainable through game-play; no longer can be obtained through chests, loot drops, anything else except from other players through the AH. People are buying them for nostalgia or something (they are level 60 gear and all but completely useless at level 70 zones). But in short: they are now made 'legacy', which is a fancy way of saying they have been intentionally made defunct.
So it's up to you: keep them for sentimental reasons or make some real AD from them through the AH or a little bit of AD by Salvaging.

As a rogue (lvl 70 all boons) I'm still in a set of mostly Black Ice Gear which was obtained through PvE, and Professions. Even uncharged it's still proving good in PvE. It was okay uncharged in PvP too.
Now the cleric servant I have is in a mish mash of random Epics, one lesser arti belt, and a blue helm. ( As of this posting she's lvl 64.) She's fairly okay in PvE overall in campaigns. I did need some help on a last area dungeon for a daily, but this is an MMO - that's meant to happen most of the time.
