Making Craftsmen Question

Is there a way to make Uncommon craftsmen? I could have sworn that in the past when I was doing the 4:1 upgrade, that a couple times I would make an Uncommon craftsman. I'm assuming it was like a critical success? I have been making a lot of craftsmen lately and this has not occurred again. Does anyone know if this was ever possible, or if it is still possible? Is there any other way to make an Uncommon craftsman?

    There is a very, very, very low chance of it happening when you upgrade rank 2s to a rank 3, but I've made maaaaaaaaany and haven't seen it happen even once, so it's an incredibly small chance.

    Thanks for confirming that. It happened twice to me, over 1 year ago. It hasn't happened since. I believe both times were with the leadership craftsmen.

    I've seen it happen more recently. When Jewelrycrafting was added, I made many crafters for all my characters. Two times they upgraded to green. I didn't actually notice when completing the task, but when starting the next I had a green companion and had not bought anything.

    Ditto, managed to snag a green jewelry worker pretty much the same way.
