GF Armor Specialization bug - not working?

Long story short, I maxed out Armor specialization (increase AC and Def by 15%) and it hasn't taken effect. My stats (AC, Defense, Protection) are still the same. I haven't posted this in the bugs section because:
1) I'm not sure if it's a bug or whether it just doesn't show up on the character sheet.
2) I can get a quicker answer here.
