Arc is 3rd party?

I read in another post that Arc is a third party program. Is this correct? Meaning I'm not actually buying zen from Cryptic but a 3rd party like Steam? I'd appreciate some clarification, thanks!

    Incorrect. ARC is the platform created by PWE for their games.

    Another example of miss info in forums, I'm just glad the community and devs pay attention.
