Alchemy Profession

lordsarveriouslordsarverious Member Posts: 160 Arc User
I am working on the alchemy profession with my cleric. It doesn't seem to level up very well, and I am confused as why. My rogue's leatherworking gives out xp on just about every task, but it seems that the alchemy ones have one or two xp tasks. It is very frustrating. Can someone explain to me how to make this level up faster.

It works differently to the others. You have to do the "Experiementation" and hope that you receive the "Alchemical Knowledge" (looks like a scroll). Once you have the required amount of Alchemical Knowledge you can start the Research, only when that is completed will you rank up.

I think I found that it was quite quick when I did it on the PC. It sounds worse than it actually is. I'm doing Leadership only until that is maxed for the ADs you can farm, then I'll look and see which of the others I'll start on.

At what level of leadership do you start to see nice AD profit. I'm at lvl 10 and I'm quite disappointed at how long it takes to level up and how little AD I'm getting.

It can depend if you have certain requirements for a job like: Mining Claims, Bill of Sale, Mark of Gratitude. You have probably been picking this stuff up and wondering what it's for. It will take some time to level the proffessions up and not having access to Gateway for you Xbox account will slow it down a little. Some jobs can give 1600 ADs but take 16 hours to complete and I've found that it will only give you 3 at a time. Most of the time it's 200 here and 400 there but it all adds up when you've unlocked 5-6 slots. Keep training those Mercenaries up as well, I know they take 18 hours a time but you need 4 to train a Gaurd, then 4 Gaurds to train a Footman which you'll need to get the good stuff.

No, those and the blue ones only come from lockboxes I think.

So, what do you mean by this? Aren't the mercenaries the lowest level? I read this as I can make 4 of them into the next level, or that once I have four, it opens the ability to make the next level. (And not buy them)

Guards and Footmen are requirements for some of the Jobs. Footmen being required for some of the most profitable jobs.

The blue and purple workers are only found in Profession Packs they work the same as the other types of their name except they offer speed bonuses, (like complete the job 25% faster).

My only question is, having sent my Guards on a mission, do I lose them or do they get returned for use a second (and third...) time?

they do come back. I have an uncommon leatherworker since I opened the profession pack in Neverdeath. I am a 47 now, and he's still here.

I know those guys do, I'm talking about the Guards and Footmen, which are a requirement for some Leadership jobs. I'm wondering if they are treated like a consumable instead of a normal worker (like your Leatherworker).

It will tell you whether or not it is a worker or consumable.

If you use 4 mercenaries to get a guard those 4 mercenaries are consumed. They only get consumed when making a higher rank guy.
