I'm trying desperately to get in some decent groups to run dungeons, but it's proving quite difficult with randoms who like to kick everyone as soon as they join. (I know, I need to find a good guild - I'm looking
)
With that being said, I've probably only managed to finish the Lair of the Mad Dragon (numerous times), and the 2 lower dungeons (numerous times), and I think I've got 1 decent belt and 2 belts that are pretty rubbish. Is it normal to get blues in the chest most of the time? The rest of my items are either bought with seals or are PVP items so far (8.7k GS).
Anyway, a few questions I could do with some help on if you guys don't mind:
1) What dungeons drop what set items? What should I be aiming for for a Spellstorm Thaum wizard?
2) I got the ioun stone of allure companion, so what enchantments and what items should I be aiming to equip it with for my Spellstorm Thaum CW??
Thanks for any help

When you ding 60, the first thing you should do is head to the Auction House and replace any equipment you're wearing will well itemized level 60 blues. Go to the AH, search each piece of equipment separately. Narrow the search down by level 60-60 and your class.
This includes your shirt and pants. Ideally, you want ones with gem slots. Level 40+ is possible to be crafted with gem slots. Chances are slim you'll be able to afford the purple ones with gems slots, so a lower level shirt/pant with a gem slot is much better than a higher level one without.
Second step is to round out your stats with some enchantments. Level 4 and level 5 enchantments are fairly cheap. Make sure you have something in each open slot.
Step three is to take advantage of the Pirate King during dungeon delves. Lair of the Pirate King is a fast, easy to run dungeon. A good group can close it out in 20-25 minutes. You should be able to start 20 minutes or so before the Dungeon Delve, and get 3-4 runs in. If the Dungeon Delve event isn't running, use your daily key or buy extra keys. I like the word key. Why is this key?
Here's the drop tables for Dungeon Delves:
As you can see, the loot table for the T2 dungeon is MUCH better than the T1, and it's a lot faster to grab T1 loot from the T2 DD chest. In essence, there's a much higher chance you'll get an upgrade from the T2 DD chest than running a T1.
Plus, you'll get Seals of the Drake, which will allow you to buy T2 equivalent (minus the set bonus) armor and weapons to help fill in the gaps. Each boss drops 3-5 seals, and the chest 12-15. Which means in a given DD, you can earn 75+ seals, which is more than enough for a piece of gear or two.
You'll want to keep doing this until you have all your equipment replaced with purples. Once you're in all purples, you can start tackling the harder T2 dungeons to work on getting your T2 armor set together. Karrundax (gloves), Frozen Heart (boots), Spellplague (hat) and Temple of the Spider (chest) all drop the set pieces. These dungeons are very difficult, but doable with some help from guildies. However, the better geared you are to start, the easier it makes getting you the next tier of pieces from these dungeons.
Since I made this post, I've got the full High Viz set, and purples in all other slots (apart from 1 ring because I'm yet to find a purple that had better stats for me).
But I'm struggling to get past 10.5k GS at the moment.
Now, I only have green shirt/pants and I only have a few lvl 5 enchantments, the rest are lvl 4 (but everything is enchanted). I'll definitely be working on those in a bid to raise my GS, but will that really affect my GS so much? How can I be reaching 13k+?? Is there specific neck/rings and weapon/offhand I should be looking for?
Also my artifact is only blue at the moment (do they even effect GS?)
Thanks in advance for any more tips Also still wondering on best way to build/equip my ioun stone. Cheers!
I also have a grand slavemaster necklace of control, Pyrotechnic ring and a Greater icon of retribution. You can get cheap icons off the ah, my one was under 6k buyout.
If you guys haven't done it already, the level 20 JC profession makes some amazing BiS rings, necklaces and belts with TWO gem slots (for the personalized versions), one defense and one offense. These can also be worn by your augments.
Other ways to get better GS is through high level enchants, higher level pants/shirts, more artifacts and artifact gear, and then adding armor reinforcements to your 4 armor pieces.
GS is more or less the sum of your offensive and defensive stats, so the more stats you have, the higher your gearscore.
